I just had a thought. What happens if big bangs and universe going back to one single point happened in cycles? Basically universe goes band it expands then it slows down and the force of gravity pulls it back into one mass?
What are your opinions? Did the Universe begin with a bang or just expansion?

Considering when it started expanding it was faster then the speed of light, i would call it a bang (no, bang does not mean there was any sound involved).

Of corse there wasn't,there is not enough matter in space to carry out the sound.

I think that theory sounds interesting, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was correct, but how do you explain all the black holes?

When stars burn out, they explode into a supernova, and then collapse under their own gravity, creating a black hole.

I think since the topic title says theories of the universe, I'm going to put mine here. Gravity is caused from centrifugal force when the middle of the universe, where the big bang started, was the thing galaxies are spinning away from, and the things that are attatched to those galaxies (stars) have reverse centrifugal force and everything else going down from there.

So then wouldn't that defeat the pulling in and then out theory? Since if the black holes get crunched up with other planets, they will obliderate them.

Dosen't the black hole look exactly like the funnel formed when water goes down a pipe? Except instead of water, it's all matter and light.

No, why would it? Matter is never created or destroyed, it is just changed. We don't know what happens to matter after it passes the Event horizon, but it's still somewhere in some form.

We don't know exactly what it looks like, we haven't actually seen one. There are 2 types,Charged black holes (don't rotate), and Rotating black holes (do rotate).

I was saying from the pic from the wikepedia website, showing how it distorts images that pass over it.

My theory is just that it get's compressed into radiation. Though it might change after reading more bout black holes.

You kind of need to stop making up theories with little to no scientific basis. First of all, what type of radiation? Second, why radiation? One common theory is that it is actually a wormhole to another universe, in which if you survived (which you won't (every atom in your body would be stretched like spaghetti)), you'd be shot out a white hole in another universe.

By the way, it should be noted that black holes do evaporate eventually.

One common theory is that it is actually a wormhole to another universe, in which if you survived (which you won't (every atom in your body would be stretched like spaghetti)), you'd be shot out a white hole in another universe.

Then why would it grow bigger?

It grows bigger? Well, i don't see how it's size is relevant, but i would assume it has something to do with it's horizon.
