I think the most under-rated series has to be the Halo series, everyone says it sucks but i think it is one of the best series out there! I think the most over-rated series has to be Final Fantasy series
Over-rated: Well probably CoD more than anything else. Its not a bad game, I think its quite good, its just over inflated to ridiculous proportions. Under-rated: Monster Hunter Series. This series is a ton of fun but it just seems like it didnt weather the transition from Japan to America well. Most people dont even know what it is.
I would have to say that the multi-player for CoD and Halo are over-rated because of the community. I dont want to pay 60 bucks to have some teen fanboy tell me how much I suck at life. Under-rated is a tough call. I have had a lot of people tell me that the classic 8-bits are boring. I think I just need to find new people to hang out with.
I'd rather wait a few months and get them for $20 or $30.
Where do you get your games? Wherever I go, CoD4 is still $30 (although I got it for $15 from my friend), and so is World At War. MW2 still hovers around $50, and Black Ops has barely gone down!
That's why I just say "screw it" and get them a few weeks or so after they come out.
Best Buy usually has deals with their products, so I often get stuff from them, and Walmart often reduces the prices on video games for a few days. A few weeks ago I got Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for $30 and in four days it was back up to $40.
I suppose the Dynasty Warriors games can be considered under rated, to me at least. I really enjoy those video games, and barely any of my friends know about them. But in the newer DW games it's mainly button mashing, so I guess that's understandable. I like how the old ones have a longer story, more characters, and isn't solely button mashing.

I only played it once on my friends PSP, it was kinda cool, but its just another rpg, nothin special.
most over rated has got to be gears of war and most under rated is silent hill \\\\(^.^)/
I don't agree with gears of war cause no one in my school wants to get it and don't agree with silent hill since I know lots of fans to that game series, but it started to suck towards the end when the creator retired.

I agree, that series used to be good, but then started to suck and I stoped buying it.
Yeah, I was really disappointed in Strikeforce. It was basically Dragon Ball Z from what they gave you... the musou mode or whatever was like going super saiyan, you could fly, and even jump really high in the air with and without it. If they kept the stuff from 5/6 and just had all the new enemies and such then it'd probably be a great game, but they had to mess it up. Aside from the enemies, I liked the little villages where you could sell and buy stuff.
Overrated- Pokemon, i hate that game so much its unbelievable Underrated- Animal Crossing, its a very fun game, it is very childish, but it has decent graphics and is good for passing time.
The most overrated game would have to be the call of duty series, What has it brought to the table that is actually new? The most underrated has to be Homefront. I mean it's a copy of the most overrated game. But was it enjjoyable? Yes. For some reason PEople can play 5 calll ofduties but not one copy.
The most overrated video game series is definitely Call of Duty. The most underrated is Dragon Age. The game has such amazing dialogue and story, I can play it through several different times, as different characters, each with unique personalities and a different plot. The combat isn't anything to brag about, but I mainly play it for its innovate storyline.
I'd say that the Resistance: Fall of Man is the most overrated game. It got in Guiness World Records 2008 for selling millions of copies, it won 8 awards for best sounds, best graphics, best gameplay, but the game sucks after you reach the seventh stage. It gets extremely boring!
