Well I'm not really sure what the problem is I don't know what else to do so I'm just gonna see if anyone on here can help me I'd really appreciate it.
Ok so the past week certain flash games on Armor Games and on other websites will load up and appear to work fine until I actually click Start game or Play, once that happens the game comes up but I cant click anything or play it, basically the game just doesn't work and it isn't just one game its actually a bunch of different games. I've done a bunch of things to try and solve the problem I've tried using different browsers such as Firefox,Google Chrome,Internet Exp, and AOL,I've also uninstalled all my Adobe programs and re-installed them and updated them and finally I have tried doing a system restore, but nothing changes I have a screenshot of what happens when I actually go to play a game, for example, The Kings League: http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/6238/110920121608.png In the picture you can see when I get to the game it like freezes up and I can't do anything..its not just that game tho there's a bunch more with the similar problem. If anyone can help me or suggest something new I can do to find a solution I'd really appreciate your help, Thank You
Yeah Master565, I reset it just yesterday and I usually reset it every other day sometimes if my computer runs slowly or some other problem, and thanks for fixing the screenshot I don't post on forums often so I wasn't sure how to post it.
It might be, StDrake do you know how I can check the flash settings?
Even though the games are working now for you, the way to do it (at least how thaboss knows) is to go to any game, (don't even need to let it load or anything) and right click and select settings. Then you click/drag to change the amount of storage cache.armorgames.com can use on your computer.
One thing I've noticed, quite often here, is that the authors do not properly check for backwards compatibility on their games.
What I'm saying, is that certain people CANNOT update the players on some computers (e.g.: Universities, workplaces, etc.). With that in mind, most games on this site do not work properly under those circumstances.
So, may I make a humble suggestion to all the active authors here? Please make sure your game works on at least ALL Flash 10 versions before publishing? Is that really that hard to ask?
I'm no developer myself, however, being in a house who's head was one of IBM's most prominent DB2 developer, are the differences in the Flash 10 versions THAT significant?
