News has spread like wildfire about the metal band Disturbed breaking up. Well, the lead singer David Draiman said clearly that they are not breaking up.
"This is really not due to any animosity -- I want to make that very clear," Draiman tells Billboard.com. "In fact, we just had dinner together last night. Believe me, it's not like we can't work with each other any more or we don't get along. This isn't a bad blood thing, and I don't ever want people to get that impression of it."
The fact is, they aren't breaking up at all. They are simply taking a break. They're tired of twelve years of constant touring, and are right now focusing on their personal lives. David is getting married this September, being one thing.
So, they are taking a "Hiatus", a very long break. For how long is still not known, whether it be for a year, or five- or forever.

I'm not surprised about your break. Like all Metal Bands, they live of the money they earn during their big touring. Go around the world might be nice, but it's really hard to get a personal lives in those conditions. Your children and your wife can't follow you wherever you go. Like you have said, last 12 years, they lived their passion, but now it's time to live with people they love and take breath.
I'm not worried. They'll come back on stage for our (and their) pleasure in few years
I'm sure they'll be back eventually. I saw them two months ago at Mayhem, and they're amazing live. They just have some things to deal with in their personal lives.
My favorite song of their's is The Night. Oh, and they're together. Dave says that it's a Hiatus, which is an indefinate break for a year or two. When they do come back, they'll be back with flying colors. ^^
Love Disturbed, love their vids. Well, if they break then I'll just hope they get back together in the future. The party does eventually have to end after all.
