All right, so my brother took our xbox to college, and I got all my arcade games I downloaded on that xbox by going onto live.xbox.com and redownloading everything that was purchased on my account onto my new xbox. However, when I was going to pick my save file so I could continue where I left off for banjo-tooie, (an arcade game) my file wasn't there! When I tried playing banjo-kazooie (prequel to banjo-tooie), it seemed my file was gone there too! My memory on the Xbox version of Fancy Pants adventures was gone as well. It only worked with one arcade game called Peggle. My achievements aren't gone, my rank on the leaderboards are still there, and I have tried it on the new hard drive I bought, and the system memory. Also, it seems only the arcade games are wiped of memory, not disc games like Black ops or modern warfare 2. Please help...

There's nothing you can do, microsoft doesn't have a cloud server for xbox's, everything is stored locally. What you should have done (I'm not sure if it's possible) was duplicate the hard drive before your brother left.

not disc games like Black ops or modern warfare 2. Please help...

Are you sure? Or is it just that you still have your online data, not the campaign. Or those Activision does supply cloud services for all your data (which I'm almost 100% sure it doesn't).

Actually now I'm pretty sure it is.

actually, I've seen one of those. those are for putting memory from your xbox to a hard drive. unfortunately, my xbox is the xbox 360 S, and the hard drive for the xbox 360 S isn't compatible with that transfer cable you posted. my brother had the older xbox, but I have the 360 S. If we had the same ones, i would have done what you were suggesting before he had left.

Oh yeah, I checked to make sure. My campaign progress wasn't erased on my disc games either.

Hmm, that doesn't exactly make any sense at all. Maybe the xbox does store some data to the gamertag (but once again I'm almost certain it doesn't. Regardless, your data is gone with the xbox.

Also, it is possible cross system.

Well I guess I'm screwed because I don't think my brother has any plans to send his xbox home. Thanks for this surprise gift Mom.

Still. Master565, thanks for being the only guy to try and help me out. You know your stuff. Nice to know there are still awesome people out there.

It's no problem. I'd imagine your brother is coming home one day, wether it be for summer or the holidays. You can try to exchange the data then.

I know. It just kinda sucks to have to wait 'till then. His college is halfway across the US, so I would expect him to come in the summer. Good to know how long I have to wait though.
