This happened to me for 2 days once, I had rated 20 games and wrote a couple post (not in the newcomer forum or games forum)and it didn't add all my post till after 2 days.
Also if your posts don't contribute to the thread and are under about eight words then they can be considered spam and deleted. And if you're posting rapidly then it takes time for the counter to update. It usually takes about an hour for the counter to update with the right numbers if you're posting/commenting/rating rapidly.
