Drone strikes are everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if one happened right here in the USA within the next 15 years.
The whole point of drones is to be able to monitor massive areas otherwise unnaccessible to conventional warplanes and ground troops. US Home soil is neither of these things. As funny as the US drone striking itself would be, the idea is ludicrous.
Agreed. What I meant by needless conflicts was putting actual troops on the ground, compared to a fighter jet, or a carrier group the cost of a drone is pocket change.
