when i started playing it said server was full, and the game only had 500 plays, i looked for the earliest comment and found that after 300 people had played it the servers were full, did anybody actually get to play the game?
i got in but as a guest and i couldnt log in for some reason then i refreshed it and it said server full when i tried again. im guessing the server isnt good
its fixed now i think, but there should be a 1v1 optin, i find that 90% of games r won because one person built up while everybody else was foghting and its just luck when nobody goes for u
The game is severely flawed in that as you increase in rank you can improve your virus, which gives veteran players a massive advantage over newbies, regardless of skill level. The game isn't really worth playing in my opinion.
I was able to play it fine the first time I tried. Unfortunately, as themonkeyking said, the longer you've played, the more massive of an advantage you have. You simply gain exp and level and get +1 upgrade point. After 50 levels you're maxed. There's no ladders or tiers or upgrades for certain levels that you can distribute, it's just a random selection of 4 people regardless of rank, plays, or win/loss ratios. In other words, unfair.
unfair ? sure , it is. But this doesnt mean that low rank players have no chance ! Before the game starts you have to identify the player with the highest rank and go for him first. A high rank player has no chance when some newbies team up against him...
I'm trying to log in, but access seems to be patchy. I was able to get a few plays in. I do love the Phage Wars games, but I'm quite disappointed about the lack of balance in the matching system. And it's too easy for everyone else to gang up on one player. That may be part of the gameplay I suppose, but I find it detracting.
Why can't it be more about your skill, rather than the hours of your life you've wasted obtaining virtual upgrades?
I think a lil matchmaking system would be good, its rly frustrating when u join a game with a rly highranked gamer, sure you can win, but mostly he will crush you.
Anf if u have this high rank you will crush all in your way, so there is no challenge then, only lvling up... both sitiations are the same, game gets boring fast.
