I can't stand Call of Duty at this point. I am excited for the release of Battlefield 3, however. I have always enjoyed the multiplayer, though the campaign kind of eludes me.
Call of Duty is a lame, worn out workhorse that has lost its bite. It's been the same thing since day one, with minor graphical improvements as it went along. The multiplayer quite frankly sucks, but that's just due to the nature of an arcade shooter with tens of millions of prepubescent children playing.
Battlefield 3, from what I can tell, is going to be in a category all its own. It's less of an arcade shooter and more of a tactical shooter, and actually requires some amount of skill to get good at. Plus, if the beta is any indication, the graphics are going to be through the roof. If your computer can handle maxed out everything, I would dare to say it'll be one of the best looking games out there.
I'm not excited for Modern Warfare 3 as much as Battlefield 3 just because I'm starting to get tired of Call of Duty's new releases like Black Ops.
Battlefield 3 on the other hand is looking good so far. Starting from Battlefield: Bad Company 2, I have always loved the series and I can't wait for Battlefield 3. My favorite part of this series are the graphics. The graphics make this game what it is, and I also enjoy the breakable buildings and interactive environment. I recently downloaded the Beta for Battlefield 3 and love it so far. Everything impresses me and I am looking forward to when it finally release for Xbox 360 on October 25th.
Even though I don't even have a PS3, an Xbox 360 or a decent computer I'm sort of excited for BF3 to come out because a few of my friends are probably going to buy it and I can play it with them. I played the beta and it seems awesome.
The Call of Duty series sucks so much these days that I couldn't care less about MW3 coming out.
MW3 is not so much different to MW2. MW3 got cool guns and stuff. But Battlefield 3 just got better animations/graphics, sounds and it's just more...war!
I think Battlefield 3 will be better... at least for multiplayer. It actuallly requires teamwork. For those COD players that dont know what this is it is when you work with other people to win.

And you are why I do not consider myself one of the Battlefield community. You're confrontational, insulting and destructive to the discussion.
I've already waged points for why MW3 will probably be a relatively bad game. BF3? Not talked about it much, but if you want my opinion, just ask.
So many CoD fans are migrating to Battlefield, and Battlefield 3 is looking like CoD. I'm a (possibly former) Battlefield fan too. Honestly, in a series I loved because of vehicles and wide open maps, they release a beta with a tight CoD-like map with no vehicles, and terrible gun balance. I mean, the first assualt weapon is instant kill usually.
Ugh... I think I'll just stop rehashing the old "Why I Fear For Modern Warfare 3" thread and just throw out one reason at a time here so I sound like a bag of new and fun and explosions.
Reason 21 why Battlefield 3 will be better than Modern Warfare 3:
Modern Warfare 3 was developed by three developers, Sledgehammer, Raven, and a skeleton of the Old Infinity Ward. Sledgehammer-Activision is just like 343-Microsoft, just a bit of extra fat cut off to continue a big franchise. Raven is known as one of the least successful shooter developers of all time, with such horrid titles like the 2009 releases of Wolfenstein and Turok, and the horrendous quality of Singularity. Infinity Ward at this point is a skeleton of its past self, all the talent and higher-ups departed when Activision and the CEO's got into a legal issue. Now, all those past Infinity Ward members work under the ironically-named Respawn Entertainment under Activision's biggest rival, Electronic Arts.
And we have the Battlefield 3 developer, Digital Illusions CE, DICE for short. They are the creators of the first great class-based shooter, Battlefield 1942, before the multiplayer juggernaut Halo 2 and LONG BEFORE Call of Duty 4's revolutionary multiplayer. DICE has always pushed forward in technology and game quality, 2008's Bad Company headlined a new powerful engine only surpassed by Crytek's CryEngine, the piece of technology that powered the Computer-destroying game, Crysis. This engine is incredibly powerful, and after being perfected throughout the two Bad Company games, Battlefield 3 runs on the most powerful game engine to date, Frostbite 2. With this new tech, combined with the drive to want to usurp Call of Duty and retake the crown as military-shooter King and the lack of talent in the Modern Warfare 3 development team, spells out the victory for Battlefield 3 over Modern Warfare 3.
Apparently, they can't. Check the stickies, they are there for a reason. If a sticky has a topic that is like the one you are planning to do, just broader, it is still going there, because otherwise people are going to spam up this section with threads of that type. Locking as duplicate to the [vs]sticky.
