I think it's like this because it grabs the attention of users, rather than having one thread with them linking to other important threads, since many people don't really read the stickies and will make duplicates. Also, this subforum probably won't be here when AG3 is fully released, so no point in doing that.
matrix is right, get satisfactoin will take charge of those type of things. also the page of stickys makes it so you HAVE to go though a page of them and look at them all before posting, hopefully some one will click a few of them. also i would not merge a single one as they are all differant.
