Just state how you fell about how we handled the killing of Bin Laden.
I believe we did the right thing in killing him and burying him at sea to prevent his grave from becoming a shrine.

ummmmm, I think that this thread is a little too late. How about instead we discuss the killing of al-Alwaki because that was more recent and there was controversy over him being an American citizen.

To be fair he didn't die all that long ago, and the time since his death does aid in seeing the effects of his death and burial on Al-Qaeda forces.

Personally I'm of the opinion that was in handled fairly well, and they preformed the last rites, preventing further outrage from radicals. Let's not forget that he was also buried at sea, so people wouldn't vandalize the grave or even exhume his body. Laden had far more enemies than he did supporters.

You know you're cool when it takes SEALs to kill you.

His death was pointless now. Still flawlessly executed, but rather pointless. He was in prison, and now his sentence has come. He deserved it, pretty simple.

His death was not flawless in the least, its true no one was hurt from SEAL Team 6, but they did crash a Black Hawk into the roof of his hideout.

Flawless Execution =/= Flawless Operation

Pakistani's harvesting top-secret technology to sell to the Chinese, doesn't exactly strike me as successful.

To me successful would be the SEAL team getting in and out, burying the body and telling us a year after it happens.

You seriously think they still had anything worthwhile after they blew it into several hundred thousand pieces? The only things important were avionics and detection systems, and those are easy to go boom.

controversy over him being an American citizen.

Yeah, I think that's really stupid. HE'S BLATANTLY STATED THAT HE HATES AMERICA and yet people have the nerve to stick up for him and call him an American citizen? That's a major flaw with our society. We abuse the rules and warp them out of context to essentially do what is wrong. Also, our legal system is extremely biased. If a normal person were to commit a crime and then a celebrity did the exact same thing, the celebrity gets a less harsh punishment. And a specific example...http://chzmemebase.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/internet-memes-racism-the-planet.jpg
I'm going to end this mini-rant now so that I don't look like I'm flaming the forum or something.

I think it was the right thing to do, but I think we should have triespd to capture him like they did to Sadam Hussein. Let's see if all the judges sentence him to death.

@Joe96
