I think the Beatles are one of the greats. However, they are not one of my favorites. I like many songs by them, but knowing their story takes a little bit of the wow factor away. Their success was due in part, not necessarily for their music (which it should have been), but to fantastic management. Rereleasing songs at the height of their popularity just seems cheesy to me. So many of their fans had no clue what they were singing because they were teenage girls who were screaming the whole time..
My favorite Beatles' songs are: In my life Rocky Raccoon Revolution
- Help! - I Wanna Hold Your Hand - Twist And Shout - Day Tripper - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - Come Together - I Am The Walrus - All My Loving - Drive My Car - Get Back
Their best movie was probably "Help!" To me, it was their funniest, and it was their most enjoyable as Ringo was the one everybody was after. Their second best was "A Hard Day's Night."
Oh, he rots forever... in prison, not for real if that's what you meant there! Sadly, he's still trying to escape from imprisonment by telling all sorts of different stories. (wiki)
And the Beatles are legendary for their songs, their boost to the music genre in general, because of their history (which sadly includes the death of 2 members) and their universal appreciation worldwide! =D
(Note to waluigi : if you happen to read this, DON'T hit me back for saying a similar sentence there... LOL)
