Gilad Shalit, an Israeli who has been held prisoner, is set to be released starting tomorrow, after being held in captivity (without the rights he's entitled from the Geneva conventions) for more then 5 years. Tomorrow Israel will begin the trading of 1027 prisoners, for just one man. Do you think this trade is a good idea? By doing this, Israel is sending the message to the Palestinians that we are willing to make these absurd trades, which they may take advantage of in future situations. Supposedly, 70% of Israelis support the trade. Also, it isn't even known if Israel is getting Galid dead or alive.
WingedReaver, there is something called a dead thread, and this was the perfect example. I also see that you have "necro'd" a lot more threads that were finished and would be relegated to the backpages of the WEPR. Generally, if a thread is more than a few weeks old, than it is dead.
