Lately I've been very in this stuff so I guess I should share it with the site. My favorite anime is ''I'm Gonna be an Angel'' and my favorite manga are the ''Cirque Du Freak'' comics and ''Galaxy Angels''. Technically, DBZ is a sequel to Dragon Ball, though I do admit that DBZ is much, much better than Kai.
A short list would be Full Metal Alchemist (I prefer Brotherhood over the original anime), DBZ, Yu Yu Hakisho, Inuyasha, Bleach, Naruto (I haven't seen Shippuden yet), Highschool of the Dead (note, Mature content, episode 6 is NSFW), Durarara, Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple and Cowbot Bebop. I highly recommend all of them, but you should be wary of HotD since it contains a heavy amount of fan service.

Personally I don't have much interest in anime or manga anymore, but I did enjoy Neon Genesis and Gurren Lagann. They have giant robots and explosions, everyone should be happy.
my fav anime was fruits basket. its really emotional and it actually gives me hope every time i think about it. it really teaches about life and it actually changed a few views of mine. its one of the things that made me who i am today.
Lately I stopped watching anime and started reading manga, cuz you don't have to spent so many time for watching how characters are talking, will they be just friends or something more (like "she loved him, he loved another girl_A, so she started dating with girl_B" for several episodes or fight, call all their attacs and explains how they work.
Just now I've been reading The World Only God Knows and High School of the Dead...Their not very nice though just anime you can find beside common anime.

Durarara!!
There are probably more that I'm forgetting to list but those are the ones that I can immediately remember.

Well I could make a large list of both Manga, Animes, and Characters but for now I am going to compress it. My top five Animes at the moment have to be, these are my favorite animes not the best I have seen, Spice And Wolf and Baccano, Code Geass and Death Note, and lastly but not least Dead Leaves which is a movie. For Characters I have to say Franken Stein, Retro and Pandy, Jacuzzi Splot, Lad Russo, Monkey D. Luffy, Kira/Raito Yagami, L (hated M), of course Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga, and last but certainly not least Alucard. There are many more that unfortunately did not make the cut today.
I haven't really decided which manga is my favourite but I have read Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, Bakuman and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
I really liked death note (liked it less when N came). It had a good story, amd the characters were great. It was pretty realistic too. I also like one piece and my favorite character would probably be luffy, or zoro. I've seen some of soul eater and it was pretty good. The charaters were unexpected and they surprise you.
