As most of you know we are less than 48 hours away from the official release of Battlefield 3! I was wondering what your opinions are and had a few questions you might like to answer.

Did you pre-order? If so where, and why (pre-order exclusives)?

I pre-ordered at gamestop just because that's where I get most of my games and in my opinion their exclusives are most worthwhile, although most of them will probably be unlocked/purchasable in the future anyway.

What aspect/s are you looking forward to most?

For me the graphics are really sweet, and I look forward to seeing how DICE handled the single player/co-op.

From the trailers, can you tell the difference between BF3 and reality?

If so you must and elf or something.

Which part will you be jumping into first (single/co-op/multi)?

I'm kind of torn right now after hearing that co-op can unlock guns in multiplayer but most of my friends aren't getting it so I'll probably go single or multiplayer.

Vehicles?

There weren't any vehicles in the Beta so I really don't know how I'll fare. I'll at least try to hop in a few to get a broad understanding closer to release so I don't end up wasting them once everyone starts getting acquainted with them, especially jets.

On another note, I've planned on joining a group to play multiplayer with for a while now, with little prevail hitting google with BF3 clans/platoons. I was wondering if anyone knows any groups to join, or just plain wants to squad up. I'm not looking for an MLG competition group, and I'm not changing my gamertag. I just want a group that takes the game seriously and plays as a team.

P.S. This topic is rated M for Mature. It contains constructive discussions, and educated opinions. If you're here to flame or slander BF3 or you just have a negative attitude, keep it to yourself or direct it elsewhere.

I pre-ordered from Amazon as it is the most convenient for me most of the time, I've Amazon Prime and furthermore I've no care for pre-order "bonuses", in fact I detest them but being as they have solved the most important parts and others that came under recognition done so too late so... I'll let it pass for BF3.

Aspect I'm looking forward to the most? I can't really say that I'm looking forward to any the most, I think the combined features of all of them is what makes Battlefield so good.

The contrasting aesthetic in Battlefield 3 is awesome, and I especially love that you have those graphical options using equipment like Tactical Lights or Lazers baring an actual advantage.

Telling the difference is rather easy, and I hate the comparisons they just made - I mean yeah, graphics is great and all, but using it as the core of one of your trailers and the format it was done in has an essence of "sad" to it.

I'll likely be going into Singleplayer first, it'll give me good insight to vehicles, weapons and etc. Multiplayer is rarely the first thing I go into, though the one thing that lasts the longest.

Co-op? Yeah, if I get some people to play with ^^

Vehicles? Hopefully very good, I find that infantry combat alone is exceptional but with Vehicles it'll return the sense of what Battlefield 2 had - with exception to you being capable of doing something by yourself... it looks like DICE has mostly gotten it right.

MLG Battlefield? The competitive scene isn't very large for it, and sadly CoD gets the spotlight in the FPS scene. I prefer a game like LoL where there's much more skill, theorycraft and teamwork involved (even compared to Battlefield), but moreso Starcraft II as it has shown itself to be one of the most difficult, diversified and balanced games... EVER?

I've gone a little off topic but FPS' aren't highly regarded for what they could be, and that's why CoD's so successful - it is a mere pastime.

Honestly since lasers were added to MoH I've contemplated why anyone would use them. To me they both seem silly, but the laser seems more practical. In the beta it was just annoying to get a flashlight or laser shone in your face, and I felt I was better off using a foregrip. I'd rather have better accuracy then being able to be spotted easier, but I know they can be disabled which makes them a little more worth it.

MLG Battlefield?

Personally I think it would be cooler to watch guys play battlefield than Call of Duty in the MLG, but to me people getting payed to play video games is a joke. Nevertheless in my search for a group to play with I stumbled across a couple competitive groups that I believe play in tournaments. I'm looking more for guys who I can play with when I'm on, and as stated earlier are serious about the game and are committed to playing as a team.
