again lies, you have no idea what happened

Well gee, care to enlighten me?

anywho at 300 hours mortar fires declares the attack. Alderic who was on watch says "uhm...i think they are here"

"Mortars are only effective to about 200 yards," Richthofen says briskly(remember this is WWII). He sounds just like he hadn't spent the whole night awake staring into the darkness. "Beckenbauer, Straussenberg! Wake everyone, and bring the snipers to me. Do you have any binoculars, Sergeant?" This last was directed at Alderic.

Beckenbauer and Straussenberg have woken everyone by this point, and walk up to Richthofen. They're both clearly exhausted, but still salute.
"Draw a map," Richthofen orders. "I need to know where the Americans' base is."

'Bout how far to walk?

"Sergeant Alderic!" Richthofen barks. "The value of this plateau is purely strategic, is it not?"

"also a blow to enemy morale SIR!"

"Yes, yes," Richthofen waves his hand impatiently. "But there is nothing valuable about the hill itself besides the fact that it is strategically positioned? That is to say, if I were to affix several explosives to it, I would not be destroying anything important?"
HA! I TAKE THIS SWORD AND I KEEL YOU!

"No sir, but we are to hold the hill not retreat off and blow it up"

"I don't intend to retreat, Sergeant," Richthofen says, looking agitated. If it hadn't meant that he would get blown away, he would have stood up and started pacing back and forth. "I intend to attack." He holds up the map proudly, and taps the spot where the Americans are camped. "We will rig our current position to explode, then use the Tiger as a distraction while we sneak out and travel to the enemy camp. It seems that they have put all of their troops and equipment on the offensive, leaving their own base relatively undefended. We will commandeer their base, then remotely detonate the explosives placed on our own, while the Americans are capturing it. We will leave some of our troops at the enemy base to guard it, then move forward to reclaim our own base and take care of any Americans who managed to survive the explosion."
You know what they say, the best defense is a good offense.

oh speaking of the enemy "base" by "base" i mean it's a camp, where they pitched their tents, ya know, unless you want to leave them tentless....

True, except all our food, water and fuel would be blown sky high with it...
