Before this turns into a spam thread, shouldn't we list reasons instead of just albums? Personally, I'm still hooked on music from last year, so I'm far out.
I've heard marvels about Haken's Visions, but I haven't had the chance to listen to it yet. Other than that, a few favorites have been:
- Grace for Drowning - Steven Wilson - A Dramatic Turn of Events - Dream Theater - Testimony 2 - Neal Morse - (Too a MUCH lesser extent) Heritage - Opeth
I dont know, king of limbs was alright. to me, it was just boring. especially compared to their last couple albums Kid A and In Rainbows which were absolutely phenominal albums and had some of their best work yet. to me it didnt reach the expectations. although a couple songs like lotus flower were real gems
I didn't think it was that good of an album. Nothing on it really stuck out to me. Honsestly, I think they peaked with 'Atlancism'. Awesome album, and awesome song. Codes and Keys? Not so much.
Wasting Light by The Foo Fighters has to be the best. I saw them live last night and it was the best performance I have ever seen. They played almost all of Wasting Light, it is a phenomenal album. Anyways, Coldplay? Really? All their songs sound the same.

same here, i never thought codes and keys was that good.

i have to disagree, there have been major evolutionary stages between each of their albums. there are HUGE differences in sounds between parachutes and their latest album.
I think the only great album to come out this year is When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes by Yellowcard. I've been a fan for 5-6 years, and after their hiatus, it's so nice to hear new material again. Other than that, I got nothin'. I am anticipating The Temper Trap's new album, though.
