Heard the PC version was better with bugs, although I haven't experiences that many on the PS3.
I've had a pretty good experience so far, actually. The single player is meh, but then again, the Battlefield series was always more focused on multiplayer. And it's good. There's that slight issue with the Engineer class possibly being a little bit overpowered, but nothing major. The missions are great and shooting up enemies with your friends is always fun.
I am slightly disappointed by the soundtrack, though.
At first I actually didnt love it. As it was my first battlefield, i didnt know what to expect. After a bit of help from some friends i learnt to play the game and now it is actually really good.
I got it the day it was released, very good game, rated 9/10 from IGN, they said it was "Amazing" and I agree. It's for those people who are hardcore gamers, especially in multiplayer.

I would say critics scores are nothing for me I mean, BTF got a 9 whilst better games like Batman and Skyrim got a 9,5 and Uncharted a 10. I think Batman has more right of a 10 then Uncharted. But I think that the scores don't go lower then 6 unless it is really extraordinary bad. And that's not right because a game which is just not good, not bad and got no improvement in comparison to his precursor should get a 5. A game with awfull gameplay, online function doesn't work good, and has a lot of bugs should get a 3 or a 4 maybe. But that's not how the critics work. The first game I described gets a 9 and the second one gets a 7. Fair huh.
bf3 in my opinion is an excellent shooter in comparison to its predecessor. in that way im comparing it to bfbc2.
gameplay overall exceeds bad company, the vehicles are much more responsive and the structure of mods for vehicles and soldiers are better organised into a better structure, however it takes more time to acquire them. personally the helicopter is easier to fly and to use as a weapon than bad company. the jets, once acquired flares and heat seekers are extremely fun however are slightly awkward to fly on the ps3. the classes are very well structured and balanced
