That's 1000 free shirts just for the first 1000 members, plus an additional shirt for every member who switches into the top 1000 after that. AG wouldn't benefit from that at all, unless you consider bankruptcy to be a benefit.
Then AG would have to drop the admins. They would run out of money. I think the reward is that you get to 'meet' new people. They help you on the games too.
