I personally disapprove of people showing extreme hate to a certain country. It gets us nowhere in society and I never get why people can't just forget our petty differences and stop waging wars for no apparent reason. Take the Troubles between Northern and Southern Ireland. I know it was a bit complicated but if some of Ireland wants to be part of Britain, why do you have to kill them to persuade them otherwise?

Extreme of anything is bad and it becomes dangerous when it comes to religious extremism cuz people do bad things on the name of religion.
BTW Brithenneriz I didnt meant racism on the other thread.

Extremism in almost any argument or group is a bad thing. Religious extremism is an especially awful thing that's hurt many, many people.

I wouldn't say religious extremism is an especially awful thing, many extremists won't have a specific faith. Just look at the KKK.

why is it I knew that was going to be the first thing you said? I digress.

extremism is usually happened when certain ideology or doctrines (whether human, or divine) is misinterpreted. if misinterpreted by a person of a strong enough will, he will indoctrinate other people under his banner. when this happens, conflict can arise because the guy (who was probably wrong anyway/took the doctrine out of context) had interpreted it one way and can't accept the possibility of the other interpretation being also right.

That's not even close to be the definition of extreme or, thus, extremist. Extremist are people that go beyond the "normal" course of action (normal being on society's standard). Usually not having any real doubt about his/her actions. The extremist usually doesn't stop until her/his will ends. No compromise, only full satisfaction.

Well anyways, extremists are bad, for humanity, both in peace and in development of earth. It's always great to keep an open mind. Open mind = healthy mind.
