I apologize if it's in the wrong section, wasn't 100% sure where to put it.
Anyways, what are your opinions on premarital sex? (and please, if you're christian, don't base your opinion on what 'God said', Your personal opinion would be most thankful)
I think it's perfectly fine for 14+ year olds to have sex, but only if they do it smartly. If my son/daughter came to me and said 'Dad would you mind if I had sex?' I'd probably say something between the lines of being smart and using contraceptives. I myself lost my virginity at age 16, it's really not a big deal, just be smart about it, and avoid children (unless financially and mentally prepared for a child) and especially STD's.

I think he means that after you have had a lasting relationship that is proven through marriage, and not just some teenage dramatic "he said, she said" crap.
Not sure I would consider marriage a proof of a lasting relationship given divorce rates.

So more than 90% of premarital sex ends in bad relations with those you love? How does that even make sense? Premarital sex just mean sex without being married. That alone has nothing to do with getting pregnant. It also does not mean you won't practice safe sex, or that you are very young. Although even for the people who are young I'm definitely almost completely sure that 90% of ttheir sex doesn't end in terrible relations. If it does, I don't really see how having sex without being married made it that way.
I'm saying culture is screwed up to the point where people say it's okay to have sex with whoever you want and pop culture (tv, movies, music) amplify this idea. No matter what you or I say, having sex willy-nilly has the same effect as say, pornography or drugs. It drives you further away from the people close to you and pushes you into an awful cycle of self-pity and suffering.

Methinks you just hear about the things that go wrong due to it and never when nothing happens because of it. The same thing is true with plane crashes, you hear of each and every little incident with planes, but they are far safer than cars, it's just the media portrayel.

Oh please, name one case where someone was getting further from their family/friends etc. The reason this all may seem like this to you is probably because of how the media shows it. I mean '16 & Pregnant' is an idiotic show, with idiotic people involved in it.

Not to be seen as a pervert here, but pornography that doesn't in anyway entangle child pornography or weird fetishes in it is rather healthy in moderation. You can't control human desire wholly, and porn is much better than actually engaging in the act.

What the heck are you talking about? premartial sex and pornography doesn't lead anyone into an "awful cycle of self-pity and suffering" unless the person has a problem then yeah. There's a senior at my school who was expelled and removed by his parents from his family's house after he got his girlfriend pregnant. Now he has to raise his family on money from part-time jobs without support from his family. He'll probably go on to have a broken family and nothing good will come of it.
But you know, I'm sure it was worth it to have sex and all. (sarcasm)
Well, he sure wouldn't be in such a situation if his family actually was tolerant and reasonable, and actually cared for their own blood, right? Instead, they hate him because he isn't affected by the same uptightness and disdain towards sex than they are. How pitiable...

All pornography gives a distorted image that doesn't fit reality and gives an illusion of, well, 'availability' and freedom; I'd rather keep anyone away from child pornography out of fear that they might get fooled and seduced by that. And it has nothing to do with premarital sex anyway.
I'm not gonna call pornography the source of all evil, but it generally leaves out the rational part that usually is part of a healthy sexual relationship.
I dont think there is any problem with premarital sex. Its important to keep in mind the possible consequences though.
In regards to the pornography, child porn usually involves a real child, which is wrong no matter how you look at it. That's why Lolita was invented.
I completely disagree, premarital sex does not equate doom and destruction, it can, but so can martial sex, the value is not a constant. However there is a greater risk of disease, and overall detached feeling when referring to a one-night stand, simply put they're not healthy, humans are emotional creature, sex allows us to express some of those, one night stands don't.

My point...erm didn't encapsulate child porn because even having the stuff means a child was abused. Rather it was that watching porn transfers your desires into just watching it until you're old enough and mature enough to actually do it. But you got the gist of it.
Yes it does give a distorted image, but if watching it stops you from doing it, so much the better until your mind is established enough to handle it all.
That's an excellent point, besides I think most people are intelligent enough to realize that pornography is just as real as WWE.
