For all the rock fans, I've created this thread to share with others your favorite guitar solo(s).

Personally, I love these:

1. Child in Time (Made in Japan) - DEEP PURPLE
2. Stairway to Heaven (from TSRTS) - LED ZEPPELIN
3. Since I've Been Loving You - LED ZEPPELIN
4. Back in the Saddle - AEROSMITH
5. Lazy - DEEP PURPLE

Don Henley - Dirty Laundry

No, it isn't considered a "metal" song at all, but I still love the solo.

Steve Miller - Abracadabra

It's not an elaborate, heavy metal guitar solo; it's very simple, and some may not even consider it to be an actual "solo", but I like it because it sounds like a pinball machine.

Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street

I don't know why I like this solo (also simple and also not from a metal song), but sometimes you just don't need a reason.

Ratt - Round & Round

This one has two: one in the middle and one at the end. I like them both, but the one in the middle is more memorable, in my opinion.

One, Fight Fire With Fire, and Fade to Black. In order.

Not a huge Metallica fan (just a big one ), but I am a massive fan of Hammett's solos. They're phenomenal in my opinion.

Wow... I'm a little flabbergasted here... no post containing anything by Eddie Van Halen?!?! O.o

Fine... I'll post my epic solo and instrumental pieces by him! There, hah... =D

Eruption (the classic...)

316 (E.P.I.C. stuff here...)

Baluchitherium (complete riff-based song)

and of course... his work for MJ in (huh huh, you know it)...

Beat It!!
