If you want a third person shooter where RPG Elements aren't as dominant like in the ones xNightwish has mentioned, you can get some more tactical first person shooting on Brothers in Arms, though to stay on topic I would vouch for Mass Effect as I have only played that and found it exceptional.
... Grand Theft Auto? :P It's kind of a sandbox game but you won't find many games where third person shooting is the primary focus, there is a small element of it in Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway if I believe but still it's mainly first person.
mklop123 - he didn't ask for online, he asked for third person and he mentioned that he is getting TIRED or FPS, which includes all CoD's. That, and I would argue against getting them anyway :P
You can play Third Person Shooter (TPS) by these "mini-games" : Alien Shooter 1 & 2, Zombie Shooter 1 & 2,.... Outside this topic a little, if your CPU was strong enough, you could find other kinds of games or other FPS games to play, not only the TPS ones : + C.O.D - Modern Warfare 1 & 2 (FPS) + Crysis ; Crysis 2 (FPS) + Battlefield 3 (FPS) + Medal of Honor (FPS) + Starcraft II : Wings of Liberty / Heart of the Swarm (Strategy) + Command & Conquer 3 : Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath (Strategy) (I advise not playing Red Alert 3) + Empire (Strategy) (I don't know....I don't like these kind of game...) + GTA IV (TPS, Free Action, I don't know if it is TPS) + Farcry 2 (FPS) + F.E.A.R 2 (FPS) + Dead Space 1 & 2 (maybe RPG) + Need For Speed Most Wanted / Carbon / Undercover / Shift / ..... (Racing) and Need For Speed World for online...(but there's too much hackers) (more...........) LOL ! I just know about FPS most....

I just spent the last 20 minutes getting links, and talking about the games GodOfWar35 as well as some others. As I was linking a playthrough of Magicka done by Jesse, as I talked about Totalbiscuit stemming indie games off into being done by other people - Amnesia specifically (which I mentioned above F.E.A.R 2 and probably above Dead Space 2), I clicked the darn refresh button.
Easily over 1000 words, and over 10 links I had in that post. Gone. >.<
