For the past two weeks, every day at 3 to 4:30 pm, my internet loses connection and regains connection at least 10 times per minute. I have no idea why it is doing so and would very much like to see if there is a way to fix it. It's not that it stops working well, it's more like someone flipping the lights off and on, one second they are on, the next off, for that period of time every day.
I know I should "robably" call my ISP (Comcast) and ask them about it, but multiple dealings with them in the past about seperate issues always result in them telling me to go restart the modem.
FYI Comcast...RESTARTING THE MODEM DOESN'T FIX EVERYTHING!
(And yes, I have tried restarting the modem during this period of time, it doesn't help)
Anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this and how to fix it?
I would say check the connections from your modem to the hardline, but that wouldn't explain the specific period... It could also be your modem, but again the time issue. Honestly the only thing I can think of with respect to the time issue, is that Comcast is doing something to the connection in your area.
I just realized that I have a fairly similar issue here as well. The internet goes out for a few minutes some time between 10-11 P.M. almost every night. And as with you, I have Comcast. And I have had problems with Comcast in the past.

Mine goes out, then comes back, and then out again very rapidly for the time I listed. Does yours do this too, or just lose connection once somewhere in that time frame?
Fine, i'll give you my non trolling answer. You can either try another modem, or try calling/emailing them and repeatedly pestering them until they actually give you a useful answer. Really regardless of the average terrible advice, they are the best ones that can help you.

Yeah, I know. I suppose I don't think it serious enough of a problem to warrant the headache involved in getting Comcast to actually do something. Was just curious mainly if anyone had any suggestions or knew anything about it/had a similar problem and knew a solution.
