Nothing to do with ArmorGames, but I though it would be nice to warn you guys about a dangerous computer virus that is roaming on the internet and may harm the computers of MSN messenger users.
1.What is it?
Its a Trojan that does more then steal your personal info.It cuts off your connection to the internet from a browser,doesn`t allow you to write in MSN and causes your computer to randomly shut down.
2.How is it spread?
It`s a chain virus.Once activated it will send itself to all of your MSN contacts which will then also be in danger.The only relief from this virus is that you have to manualy activate it or it won`t do any harm.
3.How will I spot it?
It contains a message of the sort:
"Is this you? <link>" "Is this really you? :S <link>" "This is you <link>"
if you see such a message DO NOT click the link.One of it`s strenghts is that it contains your e-mail address in the link`s end which will make you more interested in what it contains.
4.Too late..what do I do now?
If you already are infected with this you will have to run a System restore and set it to a day before you got infected.Attempting to use an anti-virus and anti-spyware against it has proven unsuccesful.
ty for the heads up. I have a friend who has that virus, he says the following out of nowhere: Hey! I just got these shoes, you'll love them <sends me rar file named pictures> speaking to that person doesn't do anything, right?
nope, but if ur unlucky enough to accept the file then ur screwed... big time.... like really screwed. and i keep on finding this crap called PUP, i delete the infected files, and i think its the Pop Up Provided. i got less pop up since then, but i occationally get them, and i cant find anymore infected files.... what can i do? and i only have McAfee security.. is it good?
the pop up virus thing only seems to work when im on armor games, the pop up virus wont give out pop-up if im on any other site other than armor games, why is this?
wierd, my computer shuts off randomly, but only usually when I play games on the computer. It started before I got Internet though which was like 2 months ago. Also I don't even use MSN. wierd....
