Im just wondering why oh why do so many people on games like shellshock live act so rude.For example i shoot someone they get angry they call me gay. I ask Oh what makes me gay they say because i banged your mum last night .Then i say no you didnt she was with me last night and what does the have to do with you calling me gay.Then he says some weird **** about me and my fake homosexual encounters.I say he is wrong and i prove it wrong correctly.
Now the actual question is why out of my experience 9/10 people like this. Its annoying .
People troll to get a reaction out of the people around them; a fair amount of people are like the people you described, in the sense that they aren't very "good" at trolling so they drop those cheap lines and laugh about it for a good while. It's much easier to get away trolling in online multiplayer games because there usually aren't in-game moderators, so they can say as many of these obscene (but meaningless) things as they please.
The best thing to do is just ignore them. They're mostly just idiots who get a charge out of saying childish things towards people online. If you respond to them and try to argue with them or 1-up them, it will probably only make things worse.
Indeed. Many games are plagued by childish immature gamers. People so hung up on themselves, they can't fathom the thought of someone else killing them or whatever it is, it just makes the game not even worth playing anymore. Just as the others said do your best to ignore them. You know none of it's true, and that's all the really matters when it boils down to it. And better yet as Patrick mention just mute them if at all possible.
I will say the worst course of action is to give any reply of any sort, especially one denying whatever stupid claim they've made, cause that just gives them more kindle for the fire. Just as soon as they say something rude, leave, quit replying and don't have anything to do with them after that point. And if at all possible report them if there is an option to do so - these 'rats' need to be exterminated - not to sound too harsh, but seriously, some people just have no decency or respect for others around them, and personally I think these people should not have the privilege of even playing a game if they can't act like a civilized person or treat others as one.
