@sysadmins: you should add "http://apps.facebook.com/herogift/?ftype=flyfish&uid=100001846892713" or better "http://apps.facebook.com/*" to the filter, that would be stop Mr. herogift...

Give him a few links showing examples of spam. They won't block facebook links for you, but they will ban the adbots.

It won't actually stop the bot since it will still be able to make new accounts and post the links. The links just won't work. It changes nothing, really.
