The movie "300," while basically a huge pile of carp as far as accuracy and execution goes, is based upon a true story. If you want a sequel, you would have to change history. Or, you could go watch an accurate, truthful movie about modern commandos since a lot of their training and mentality is derived from the Spartans.
Derp, people be repeating themselves. Funnily, one would think the point of "This was based off a real story, so it would not make sense to make a sequel" would have gotten through the first two, three times.
