Well a lot of people have been telling me evolution is real. They give me the most craziest surreal 'facts'. Has anyone discovered any fish with legs? Any humans with gills or fins? If you put all the pieces of a watch into you're pocket and shake it around for trillions of years, will it ever become a watch? Is there but one possibility? Or if you completely dismantle a chicken and a fish, and put it into a box, shaking it around for trillions of years. Will it ever become a fish with wings? or a chicken with fins? :l
What what about in some Holy books (especially the Muslim holy book) where it mentions scientific knowledge that we are only discovering today eg the Big Bang is mentioned in the Muslim Holy book, but how could people of 2000 years ago with hardly any scientific knowledge at all know of it or of how it happened???
Apart from not having anything to do with evolution... could you cite the passage you mean, at least?
But my guess is the Qu'ran mentions something that some people interpreted as the big bang, is all. Interpretation. Nothing solid.

Such passages are retrospective. They take a passage and make it say what they want it to say. If the information in those books were indeed scientific breakthroughs we could use them proactively.
The way it should work, Passage in holy book is applied and tested leading to scientific break through.
The way it does work, Scientific break through is made then some people claim that their holy book had that information all along.
Also last I heard the Qur'an didn't have passages covering evolution. The Bible sure doesn't.
Some of the writings from 2000 years ago have been translated so vaguely so they support whatever their churches/mosques/religious leaders want them to support.
I personally prefer reproduced scientific proof over an old dusty tome.
Until we meet intelligent aliens we can have no evidence of God. If aliens have the same religion as some humans that would point to the existance of a God. But I would still believe in Evolution.

i doubt that if alines existed they would be able to prove the existence of god.
besides, what if at some point they came to earth, taught us about religion and that is how it all started? that would STILL mean its impossible to know the truth XD

There are plenty of other ways evidence can be gained for the existence of god. Non has presented itself yet though.
But I would still believe in Evolution.
If we find that for whatever reason we have been in error it's best to adjust so that the new evidence can be incorporated. Of course the existence of a god wouldn't automatically result in evolution not occurring.
but i don't belive in evolution i think its just that i don't get the concept of something evolving
Ignorance can be fixed, I will try to explain. Though I would like to recommend that you browse the links on my profile. If you like I can post the list up here again.
First off let's start with the basic definition of evolution.
Evolution; change in allele frequency in a species over generations, or more simply put decent with modification.
Let's start of with a group of animals, we'll call them the Reds. Each generation of Reds (each time the group breeds) the next group is slightly different from the previous generation. Over time with each successful generation these slight differences can build up finally resulting in major changes. But the environmental pressures are what select for these changes, these modifications. This environment could result in the natural selection of Red most similar to the previous generation. So because of this the Reds might not change much at all from one generation tot he next. But let's say we split up the group. One group of Reds stays in their current environment where they aren't changing much. The second group finds itself in a very different environment. In this different environment their current traits make them no so well suited. So the Red babies who are less like the parents are naturally selected for in this new environment and eventually given enough generations we no long have Reds, this new group we will call the Blues. Eventually a Blue and a Red meet, but by now they are so different they cant breed with each other, meaning we have ended up with a speciaition event.
For a visual pretend each square in this image is one generation. Each square is a slightly different color from the previous square. These slight changes to the color of the squares ad up eventually resulting in the square being a completely different color.
This sort of process is happening to all life on Earth. It could take more rapidly over fewer generations, or more slowly over far more generations. That depends on the environment.
