I didn't know of it till now, people are praying in mosques right now, but it's too early for a prayer (as the last prayer was recited about 40 or 50 mins ago), i went and checked, and now i know, is there anyplace else were people can see the Lunar Eclipse right now?
I was able to see it earlier in my morning, at around 4:45. (my time) It was pretty interesting but I couldn't enjoy it fully because it was so early. But it was an amazing site knowing that what I was looking at was the moon.
Well, i can see it from here, as it's night (7:00 p.m) but it doesn't look exactly orange, even though i read it'll be really clear in Saudi Arabia. My mom says " Looking directly at the Moon in this state can effect your eye-sight deeply" I didn't wanna see it anyway. Last time, when the lunar eclipse occurred in June(i think) i didn't even know or realize that i just missed such a rare occurrence till the next day when my friend who lives in the neighborhood asked me about it, i was like XP
me and my dad were staring at it all morning and i'm fine
That's by watching a solar eclipse when the sun's rays are directed to your eyes.
The solar radiation that reaches the surface of Earth ranges from ultraviolet (UV) radiation at wavelengths longer than 290 nm to radio waves in the meter range. The tissues in the eye transmit a substantial part of the radiation between 380 and 1400 nm to the light-sensitive retina at the back of the eye. This might lead to the development of "eclipse blindness" or retinal burns.
LoL I was up at 4:30 this morning and looked at the moon, nothing! I went back to bed a and got back up at 5:30, still nothing! It turned out, that NASA didn't bother to say that Northern Arizona wouldn't see the eclipse =/.
