I didn't know of it till now, people are praying in mosques right now, but it's too early for a prayer (as the last prayer was recited about 40 or 50 mins ago), i went and checked, and now i know, is there anyplace else were people can see the Lunar Eclipse right now?

I was able to see it earlier in my morning, at around 4:45. (my time) It was pretty interesting but I couldn't enjoy it fully because it was so early. But it was an amazing site knowing that what I was looking at was the moon.

Well, i can see it from here, as it's night (7:00 p.m) but it doesn't look exactly orange, even though i read it'll be really clear in Saudi Arabia. My mom says " Looking directly at the Moon in this state can effect your eye-sight deeply" I didn't wanna see it anyway. Last time, when the lunar eclipse occurred in June(i think) i didn't even know or realize that i just missed such a rare occurrence till the next day when my friend who lives in the neighborhood asked me about it, i was like XP

I saw it at 10 15pm my time. It was kind of amazing, though it was just a moon that seemed to have a dark veil draped over it.

Honestly, the last time i thought"What's the big deal?" And i still don't get it, except that it's a pretty rare occurrence.

That just about sums it up, plus it does look beautiful on a cloudless night sky.

That's by watching a solar eclipse when the sun's rays are directed to your eyes.

The solar radiation that reaches the surface of Earth ranges from ultraviolet (UV) radiation at wavelengths longer than 290 nm to radio waves in the meter range. The tissues in the eye transmit a substantial part of the radiation between 380 and 1400 nm to the light-sensitive retina at the back of the eye. This might lead to the development of "eclipse blindness" or retinal burns.

LoL I was up at 4:30 this morning and looked at the moon, nothing! I went back to bed a and got back up at 5:30, still nothing! It turned out, that NASA didn't bother to say that Northern Arizona wouldn't see the eclipse =/.

I would have liked to see it, but 5AM is too early for a Saturday morning. Not to mention that lunar eclipses aren't exactly rare.

Next one that my area will be able to see is late 2014, so take that as you will.

Relative to other celestial events other than the rising and setting of the sun and moon, it isn't rare.
