Very great games, though I haven't played the first one, I played the second and Brotherhood, and I'm getting Revelations soon. The ones I played were awesome; there are many things you can do in them, the story mode if that's all you do is about 14-18 hours long, but if you do it with all the side missions and such then it doubles that time. But after I beat them I got bored of them because I had nothing else to do, and all I could do was kill enemies. The multiplayer is decent in Brotherhood, but I got bored of that too very soon. I hope Revelations has more things and has improved multiplayer.
I do love the game, but i do have a problem with it as well. It is way to easy! There is nothing challenging besides the minor stealthy missions. That being said I still think it was an awesome game and I always loved the swordplay.
Well, there's no denying that Assassin's Creed is a good series of games. Well, series of three-progressively-decreasing-in-quality games with a rubbish start.
The thing that everyone likes to forget about the first Assassin's Creed was what absolute garbage it was. It was innovative, beautiful, and new, but it repeated these cool new things to such a tiring degree that us 2007 gamers just DIDN'T WANT TO DO THE CRAP PICKPOCKETING MISSION FOR THE FIFTIETH TIME UNDER A NEW NAME! (AC1 caused a lot of rage)
Assassin's Creed II was where the pieces came together, all the cool and new things finally meshed and crafted a better game in the end. Was it better than Arkham City, Borderlands, or Uncharted 2? Nope, but it came **** close.
Assassin's Creed: Bro. was a bit of a... oddity... for me. This kind of felt like an over-sized expansion pack, with two cool new things. The multiplayer was fun, if you could EVER get into a match, and the world was stuffed with so stuffed with content that I was actually intimidated on trying to complete it all. Not a bad thing, and the "Brotherhood" addition was good, but overall it felt a bit... meh... in terms of improvement. Was it good? Yes. Still a 9? Yes. As stunning as AC:2? No.
Haven't played AC:R...
So what I'm trying to get across is that Assassin's Creed is a wonderful little series that is, unfortunately, getting slogged down thanks to the CoD-esque yearly releases (not a fan). If AC wants to stand out in a year of Mass Effect 3 and Bioshock Infinite after blundering about in the year of Skyward Sword and Skyrim, then Ubisoft better step up its game with Assassin's Creed III.
