I've got to say, it's the hardest game I have ever played in Armorgames, just the first level is extremely hard. I tried like thirty times, and in all of them crashed.
Same. Managed to do the first tutorial level just by flying pretty low all the time made landing a lot easier. Couldnt really figure out how to descend and land back wheels first without just falling out the sky and blowing up.
After that I went to the map to hopefully continue and it just bugged out and I couldn't click on anything.
Try not to let the nose down unless you stall (just reduce thrust you will start decending). It is easier to land with flaps on. I've even successfully landed with no landing gear because it jammed.
Still I don't get how the plane can't achieve cruise or stable altitude at 90% thrust...

I did that but i suddenly just crashed..... I was really mad after the couple times i tried the first level and crashed every time even though i landed on the back wheel.

the map works fine to me . the game is cool , just keep an eye on instrument . what is annoying is the engine's failure . if you are not high enough , it can ends bad . needs more stuff to buy and manage , that will be perfect

ZQFMBG says: Posted at 2:35pm on 12/14/2011 Great game, I actually finally figured out how to land safely:
First (of course) take off and press "g" and "f" once (for gears and flaps). After take off, steadily gain altitude until you get to 1500 height. When you get to 90 distance away from the destination, start a steady descent until you are at around 150 height. When you are 30 distance from the destination (and still flying low) change your flaps to "landing". At 25 distance, lower your landing gear. When you get to the front edge of the destination, try to touch down (back wheels touch first!) and when your back wheels successfully hit the runway, hold the "down" arrow key until you come to a stop. Then, if you followed these steps right, you landed safely! It is easy once you learn the above steps and you can land every time.
I've tested it and it works a lot better than the guessing and checking method I was using.
This game is, insanely difficult. It is so ridiculous that the plane won't glide and the elevators wont stabilize themselves (unstable designs are only in fighter aircrafts and they requires computer to assist control). The flaps does not provide extra lift when the plane fly at slow speed (which is also impossible). There is no aileron control (that can modify lift-to-drag ratio of the main wing). You can't slip, you can't use spoilers to decrease airspeed when decending rapidly. You can't even glide as there is no (lift) induced thrust.
It is much harder to control this piece of flying brick compared to a real aircraft. It is like flying a damaged aircraft with half the control surfaces malfunctioning...
Anyway, the easier way to fly this brick is to lock your engine thrust at 94. It is still very hard but at least you can successfully land quite a few times until you crash into a tree...

lol, the turtorial tells you that, basically word for word. The only difference is the specific altitude instructions that I will try just to see if it works. Landing is just difficult and takes practice.
