So after playing the new game TU-46 by Pavloff, I have found that it is an enjoyable game, but there are definitely some cons to it.
Pros
-When you get the hang of all the controls and the kinks, it can be a very fun game giving you a sense of accomplishment for no injuries even on the short flights.
-One of the best flash games where you actually are flying the planes, not just being an air traffic controller telling the plans where to go
-Controls are simple to figure out
Cons
-The z button 16x flight speed is very buggy; many times I have been flying and hit just one degree too far up in a climb before starting it, and end up falling down to the ground at 16x speed
-The runways are so short you have to really get in the sweet spot of descending at the right time and speed as well as the angle
-The random equipment failure is exciting, realistic, and challenging, but there needs to be a way to fix it in flight if you stay in the air long enough
-Emergency landings are hard as balls to do since you have to not only aim for the dirt, but the dirt close enough to the airport to have it count and not blow you up automatically
-Sometimes if you land on the runways a little late and run over onto the dirt, you will still blowup as if you had just fallen straight down from the sky
-The upgrades don't specifically say what they do. I understand radiators stop overheating and mechanics stop jam ups, but I'm not sure what the benefit is of advertising and management improvemnt
Conclusion
It is a fun and challenging game, but at the moment it is very quirky. A version 2.0 with better and more defined upgrade choices, smoother controls, and less quirks/bugs and it would be worth playing even more.

A good job for your first game though Pavloff =D

I just wish if it would be a lot more realistic.

This is what happens in reality:

A commercial plane with full fuel is at least 30% heavier then when it is empty. It can barely takeoff due to the weight, but landing is much easier because it becomes much lighter once the fuel used up. In fact, if your landing gear or flaps malfunctioned during takeoff you have to turn back and land immediately because the increased drag would cause insufficient fuel to reach your destination (refuel for each trip are calculated that is just enough with a bit more as spare). Also you need to climb enough altitude or you will run out of fuel. Denser air at low altitude gives higher drag, while in thinner air the plane can go faster due to the reduced drag at same speed. Higher speed is therefore achieved in thinner air as the lift-to-drag ratio remain constant. Every plane has its own "cruise altitude" and "cruise speed" (that is the most fuel efficient per distant traveled).

The stall speed with flaps on is significantly reduced. Flaps allows the plane to fly slower (because excess speed during takeoff or landing would damage the landing gear).

Even with no engine power, every plane can glide. It won't just fall out of the sky. Landing with no engine power is not only possible, but in FACT, when planes land the engines are normally set to idle, because the induced thrust for decending is more then enough to propel the plane, that spoilers are deployed to reduce the airspeed. Spoilers are extremely important for reducing airspeed when decending, it would take careful calculation to land if these malfunctioned (in such case high speed landing is nearly inevitable, as said above such attempt will damage the landing gear).

A plane would fall out of the sky only when it stalled (not the engines going out). Airspeed can be regained by giving up altitude (just like a cart running down a slope, stalling happens only if the pilot let the plane slow down too much that the main wing doesn't generate enough lift to support the plane's own weight, causing the plane to accelerate towards the ground). Excess angle of attack during a stall can be remedied by pointing the nose down (using the elevator controls).

The nose of a plane would automatically goes up when there is excess lift because the force of lift causes the plane to accelerate upwards, and automatically goes down if there is insufficient lift. This behaviour, that accelerates the plane when the plane slow down (by giving up altitude, releasing gravitational potential energy), and decelerates when the plane speed up too much (by regaining altitude due to excess lift), is the reason why planes can normally glide in the air with no control input whatsoever.

A game doesn't have to be realistic but, it is too far from the real thing to the point that it is unintrutive to fly this brick. Despite the bad ratings, the game is still quite popular (look at the number of plays). Flying can be fun and we have yet to see a good simulator on a flash game.

I like Learn to Fly better than Flight, simply because the pengrin physics are closer to reality.

Still, I must say good job for making a flying simulator on flash... It's fun if you can tolerate or even laugh at the crashings over and over...

Ok, there is already a thread for this game.

That is not a good review thread the OP starts off with saying only "OMG its the hardest game ever I can't play it" QQ. That is a whining thread, this is a review thread and one that is here to offer constructive criticism.

Another bug: I just clicked continue today, and now it has me displayed as in all of the stops with all the same price to fly to somewhere else. going to have to start a new file cause of it.

Another issue I've found, sometimes when you buy an upgrade, it will give you that upgrade but charge you the amount of the next tier of upgrade

For anyone needing landing help, I've got a tip. Come in really quickly and land almost horizantally, you won't blow up. Took me a while to figure that out.

also hitting space as you land gives you more room

My gear keeps jamming when I'm landing on the first flight and I can't get better engineers because I have no money!

the game should not be as hard as flying an actual airliner... its not all that terrible though. and did you seriously create an armorgames account just to bash this game? (directed at the post above this one)
