In 2011, the definition of a "PC game" became increasingly hard to quantify. Indies are flourishing in the space more than ever, and a number of popular PC games are making their way to consoles or even mobile devices. With so many options out there, it became harder to define the quintessential "PC" experience.
While PC gaming, by its loosest definition, includes any game that can be played on a PC, this year Gamasutra chose to only highlight games that are available exclusively on the platform. That means no iOS ports, no console ports, just a single PC release as of 2011.
5. Rift 4. Atom Zombie 3. The Binding of Isaac 2. Minecraft 1. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings __________________________________________________ __
I've played rift at a friends and although its fun, i don't think i will ever get into the p2p model with so many other f2p games out there. swotr is coming out and yes I want to try it, but am also hessitant due to p2p nature. I've never played minecraft either but heard the game is complex. I also don't know if I would ever be able to get into a game with graphics liek those (my opinion).
Of course if they included console port games, then Skyrim and Battlefield 3 would be on the list too. Do you guys who have played atom zombie and the binding of isaac think it deserves the top 5 spot?
By the way, I disagree with this list from the website. I agree with the list of the PC-only games, and it's too bad that PC gaming is falling apart, sad story.
Thanks for letting me know how. i always feel stupid when i can't figure it out. Yeah people would be going crazy if it was all games on pc. skyrim and battlefield 3 NOT ON THE LIST OMG WHAT IS THIS. Don't know how goo atom zombie and binding of isaac is.
