It's a mediocre game at best. It takes away a lot of the enjobable points of Saints Row 2 and fills it with enough padding to become nothing more than a grind. Where in Saints Row 2 you could choose to do side missions the Third forces you to do them in order to unlock more main missions. Aside from this the game lacks the drama and tension of the last games, and instead goes entirely for wacky senarios. This is a huge hit against the game for Saints Rows 1 & 2 were great games because the mixed both comedy and drama.
The enemies all feel the same. At least in Saints Row 2 there was some distinction and character to the people you were fighting. In this it's simply the generic enemy beatdown. Oh, and remember how I mentioned padding? Well even with all that padding the game only stretches out to 10-12 hours of gameplay. Most games these days, especially open world games, try and range for at least 15-20 hours not counting side missions. In Saints Row 10-12 hours is WITH the side mission.

it depends on how you play it. me and my friends are just having fun around town whit tons of cheats (yes it's a game that asks to be cheated in just like GTA was in the old days. (not gta4) were on 25 hours and only 58% of the game done xD but we have found loads of funny bugs tho =P

Tried multiplayer or co-op? Increases the length of the game by hours.
