We'll we have no idea how were gonna die, is it going to be by God,Zombies,Aliens, or ourselfs.

I hounestly think we are going to kill ourselfs, because we are killing all of our sources eithe slowly or very fast. Like how the Japanese are killing whales. =\\. and our new generation is very lazy and the 'me' generation [so mai parents tell meh].

Well lets cross out anything religious.

Zombies? Extremely unlikely and if zombies occurred, I doubt the military could fail.

Aliens? If they find us, erhm... not too good. Think Native Americans and the Spanish/English.

Ourselves? It's always possible, but I'm sure the UN will try to keep things civilized. Besides nuclear weapons can be outlived.

Overpopulation? Well sooner or later countries will put laws into affect to help decrease the population. (Only one child per couple or something similar.)

The only way I see is a highly unlikely comet slamming into our planet which would have severe effects.

Yeah. They're trained to take out organized groups of intelligent troublemakers. To battle a brain-dead crowd wouldn't take more than a few snipers or a choppergunner.

That could happen, although I'd bet it would be an asteroid instead of a comet.

Many nations already have.

I'm thinking a freak occurrence such as aliens if they exist, or a pandemic, or one of Nature's many unpleasant surprises such as a Yellowstone-esque explosion might have minute chances of happening.

And if that doesn't happen, I'm hedging my bets that if we all die, it won't be on this Earth, but far far away in deep space.

*Rolls Eyes* We tend to view the past and groups we're affiliated with as more positive than they actually are. We aren't the *me* generation to out parents anymore than they were the *me* generation to their parents. Quite frankly it's annoying that people say things like that without any evidence. They're memories and opinions are not evidence mind you.

Anyway, I see three basic ways for the next century to go.

1)We avoid any major conflicts and end up as a Type 1 Society.
2)We engage in a WW3 style conflict but ultimately emerge with the human race largely intact. The Victors then lead us into a global society, the amount of freedom being subject to who the victors are.
3)We engage in a WW3 style conflict and either wipe out the entire human race or the majority of it. Basically killing ourselves in the process.

So, in answer to the question if we don't manage to create a global society: warfare.

I'm a little worried about a type one society. The idea of anyone allowed to trade anything doesn't sound good to me. Especially because there is no government control.

Well, we're probably 100+ years away from a society like that so we have to assume there would be at least a little bit more education and a little less ignorance. Of course greed and issues would always exist. I'm not sure if it's required that it be a completely free economy though, personally I think we could probably regulate some things to prevent monopolies or abuse. Then again, if everyone had the ability to buy most things perhaps capitalism would work a little better.

Yeah, I guess if it were to happen now that would be something to worry about. But by the time everything is digitized, people should be more caring, understanding, and hopefully a little less desperate for money. And regulation, for basic human care would come in handy I think.

One can only hope, I suppose the idea would be that without any form of regulation or barriers Capitalism could potentially work as it's ideal type specified. Who knows. And yes, we would have to set some sort of minimum standards. Or not, that could back fire too. *Sigh*.

Er, EPIC QUOTE FAIL

I suppose the only logical assumption that can be made is that some spontaneous, catastrophic event will destruct our planet. Of the many theories for catastrophic destruction, most of them can be ignored. It's difficult to imagine that the earth will ever come to an end, but because it is a piece of the natural order, it must eventually. I have always expected that the sun would one day become a nova or supernova. This will occur when our sun, Sol, enters its final stage. However, this will be in about 5,000,000,000 years time, so to worry for the next millions of generations would be completely trivial.

Asteroid strike

Cosmologists have clear insight if an asteroid were to hit us, anywhere within a couple hundred years if I recall correctly. This is certainly possible, but not plausible to occur in any short range of time.

The bible is not a science book so feel free to completely ignoring it during science. The bible is full of hundreds of basic scientific errors. Earth was created by chemical and physical processes and will end the same way.
