I have a question. Today, I was bored, so I went on youtube to watch MW3 walkthrough missions (Even though I don't even play the game). While I was watching it, something kept popping up; it said "Press 'X' for AK 47 with ACOG" or "Press 'X' for P90." But then I got confused, since why would you be carrying around an assault rifle along with two other automatics? Any answers?
Uuuhm I believe you can only carry two weapons. But it is just because, imagine this : you are under fire and there is a bomb behind you and 50+ enemys in front of u, the sides are blocked. Then if u would have the m16 and u would take time and headshot, but miss a few u could get 29 kills. And then instead of reloading and getting killed, you switch weapon and shoot the remaining soldiers with a AK-47.
You have two weapons at max on mw3 when it says hold x for a gun it means it is on the floor and you can pick it up you can hit y to change from your primary to your secondary he doesn't have 3 guns when it says hold x to pick up a gun it's just saying there is a gun on the floor you can swap for your current gun.
And having a smg with an assault rifle is useful for when at close range you can use the smg and at long range you can use your assault rifle
because if you have two weapons you are more versatile. you could have a sniper rifle and an smg or an assault rifel and an smg
and you can also switch between weapons faster than reloading in some cases so in the event that you run out of ammo but you have another enemy on your screen, you can swap and start spraying
