Mkay, this is probably going to fall flat, but I'm going to attempt it anyways.

There's plenty of forum games here at AG, but no actual roleplaying. Being the RP fanatic that I am, I figured I'd open one up and see how it went over with the community. I'll go pretty basic, but I expect you to follow the rules.

-NEWSFLASH-
WAR!
The tensions between the United States and Korea have finally reached their breaking point. At approximately 17:30 Eastern War Time, the US Congress officially declared war on North Korea. US Army soldiers are currently being deployed on the North Korean shores, and an ICBM has reportedly been launched from a silo in White Sands, New Mexico. This appears to be a direct result of threats against the US by unnamed North Korean military officials. More updates to follow as they develop.

Rules
1. The RP should read similar to a story if someone were to read back over it. For anyone with experience, this means no *walks in* hi style RPing.
2. No overly powerful characters. I swear to God, if I have to enforce banishment from this RP I will. I can't stop you from posting, but I can refuse to acknowledge your posts.
3. Before posting, post your profile on http://armorgames.com/user/Roleplay_Profs and WAIT FOR MY REPLY.
4. Pick a side. You're either with the Koreans and allies or the Americans and allies. One or the other. Not both, not switching between them.
5. Just to reiterate rule 2, NO GODMODING (overpowered characters)

PROFILE FORMAT (copy and paste this into the comment box and fill out on the Roleplay Profs page)

Appearance:
History:
Personality:

((Alright, since apparently there's little to no interest, I'll start.))

Lance rested his head in his hands and rubbed his eyes. He was under heavy criticism for what he had done, but it was necessary. Decades of diplomacy with North Korea had all crumbled when plans for a long-range nuclear warhead appeared on the internet. Now every country with a nuclear reactor had easy access to nuclear technology. The hackers responsible had been tried and found guilty of attempted mass genocide, and were currently sitting on death row. That didn't change what they had done. It didn't matter. He had pushed the little red button and a nuclear warhead zoomed into orbit, ready to drop on North Korean soil in a matter of hours. Granted, it wouldn't hit a densely populated area, but the demonstration was enough. When they tried to fight, the troops would be so demoralized that the American Marines would cut right through them. Still, the loss of lives weighed heavily on his head. It was inevitable that innocents would be killed in the discharge. The historians would debate this one for decades, he was sure of it. What would his children be forced to endure? Perhaps the hardest part was knowing America would be ruthlessly attacked by the UN for this assault. But he would NOT let the Koreans launch an attack first. What he was doing was right, he decided, or he wouldn't have decided to do it. Perhaps, but he still wouldn't sleep easy. He picked up his phone and dialed the line to the General of the Army at the pentagon. "Prepare the Air Force. I have a feeling a counterattack may be eminent, and I want our missile defense jets online. Deploy all bombers with navy pilot escorts flying out of the pacific, see if we can't cripple their military targets before our troops even land.

Lou boarded his bomber, and although he knew he would be out of there before the nuke fell, he was still slightly worried. He had moved up a rank to leutenant and was ready for his first mission. It was an easy one, but it still was his first chance to prove himself. As he neared his target, a hidden enemy base that was shrouded in mystery, he told his crew to drop altitude below radar. The escort commander did the same. About 5 miles out of range of their target, the base realized that the fighters and bombers were nearing; however, they waited to ambush and did not man or fire any defences. There miles out, one stealth jet out of 3 was sent ahead to see activity. There was none and it was reported. As soon as the enemy came within range, the Koreans fired. While the jets were surprised, the initial fire only damaged on jet superficially. They used their long range weaponry while the bombers fired their lightest rockets that could travel the distance. While most of the first volley was ineffective, one lucky rocket hit the radio tower. After firing an inaccurate second round, the ships decided to close in to accurate distance. The base fired back with more accuracy and took down 2 jets out of fifty and damaged 1 bomber out of 10. The remaining 3 heavy battleplanes were left undamaged. The bomber lost its air to air MG on the right wing. The jets fired back and destroyed a short-range rocket silo and a MG turret. The bombers were about 1/2 a mile away from the base when the base sent out 10 jets and 7 anti-air tanks. The planes circled back sending flares. When the battleplanes lowered their supply of two light armor land tanks, with the exception the one battleplane that had a heaver tank instead of two light ones, the tanks took out the anti air tanks. The anti air tanks did do some damage though. 5 jets and a retreating stealth fighter went down. The base had but 3 airships left, 6 active MG turrets, and no silos. It did however send out its army of 5 tanks. The battleplane with the heavy tank lowered its tank, but all the tanks were destroyed. Only one Korean tank remained. A bomber hit it with a heatseeker, air to ground. When one bomber finally found an opening in the defences, it was able to drop it's load of bombs. It put major holes in the building, but was quickly shot down. Lou had 6 bombers left, including his own, and also 20 jets. The base had no more defences, so the base was completely destroyed. After the destruction, Lou hears news of other runs. 3 were successful, and 2 were not. He feels like four bombers is too much to lose, but a victory is a victory. It was his first leadership mission, and no heavily experienced pilots were lost. They picked up the pilots who were forced to eject and were not shot or accidentally blown up in the confusion. The total loss of Americans: 37. {Stat: If you survive your first 10 air missions the chances of you dying go down by ~ 90%}

Hank, the teriyaki chicken wing, pulled out his .50 caliber M2 machine gun and shot down korean bomber and fighters as they roared by him. "93!", he screamed loud enough to puncture an elephants ear drum. It was July 16th, 2008, and he was a lone soldier in the middle of the vast battlefield. He was drafted to Iraq at the age of 3 and a half, and he had been fighting ever since. He was part of the 67th platoon of commandos in special operations unit 347. Supposedly, the whole platoon was demolished by an angry rancor on Mos Eisley. But anyhow, he was blasting away koreans when suddenly, BOOM! A nuclear warhead the equivalent of 80,000 nukes that dropped on Hiroshima fell not 10 yards away from him. Luckily, he deployed a bubble-shield. Not 10 seconds later, he is ambushed by a group of traveling korean orchestra members. While being pummeled by tubas and violins, he calls in an carpet bomb right over him, to repel the angry fat men. A series of explosions were heard until suddenly, he uses teleport to escape the blast. "Woah, that was a close call", he mumbled to himself. Then he remembered, he had actually tele-ported to an all-you-can-eat buffet in Nebraska. He was quickly devoured by some happy customers.

-4:30 A.M.-

A Dream: Trevor is walking along the bank of a river. 2 figures with familiar voices near Trevor. Trevor is dazed and can only see the contour of the 2 figures.

Figure 1 - A Female around 40 to 50 years of age: Son? Is that you?
Figure 2 - A Male around 45 - 50 years of age: Wait, (the voice is blurred)<Name>, that's...that's him!
Trevor: Mom! Dad! I'm comi-

-REALITY-

Fellow Cook: WAKE UP TREVOR!
Trevor: What!? What?! Who?! Huh?! (He forgets all of his dream and almost bangs his head on the wood of the top bunk)
Fellow Cook: Hey, Trev, its time to set up Breakfast for our soldiers.

-Trevors' Thoughts and Actions-

Trevor dresses while thinking about something he forgot, nearly in his grasp. He switches into uniform, puts on his tall white hat and starts his way out the door. He crosses the halls seeing many early birds finding their way. Possibly they have an early shift as well. He starts making eggs and hams. While doing all that, in his mind, he has his own little world. I wonder, what am I contributing to help in this war? TREVOR! Don't think negatively, you are helping. Without anyone cooking, our soldiers would have no food and without food we would lose the war. Trevor nods and gets back to work. But deep in his mind he is thinking: Keep on thinking that Trevor, keep on thinking that.....

-SOON TO BE CONTINUED-
