A really good selection of weapons is:

Sidearm : Ripper
Secondary Arms : Magnum
Close Range : Zapper
Automatic : Assault Bouncer
Long Ranged : Holy Grail/Rail Gun
Machine guns : Flamethrower
Explosives : Ion Cannon

*I would also recommend getting the shredder and the grenade launcher
for the achievements 'corpslosion' and 'Surprise!'.

Those are Heavy Weapons, as machine guns fall into automatic.

Explosives : Ion Cannon

I recommend Rocket Luancher ! Ion cannon needs 2 shots (1 shot with Double Damage), longer delay ! Anyway, good accuracy !
Machine guns : Flamethrower

Destroyer is advice !
