A good multiplayer game would probably be the call of duty series or the battlefield series. There are also other good online games but those two are my favourite so far .

No. CoD is a horrible example of multiplayer. Good multiplayer should try to focus on teamwork. CoD has no teamwork. Battlefield 3 is supposedly a bit better for that kind of stuff, with the classes and all, but I'm a bit sketchy.

A great example of proper multiplayer is Portal 2. You NEED to listen to your partner and think of a plan together to succeed.

I completely agree cod is mostly a guy trying to get the most kills while avoiding all his partners example they'd rather ket you die to get the game winning kill mean while in RTSG's you actually need teamwork or you'll get overpowered.

That's why I prefer playing with clans or friends. But I have found good rooms that everyone actually worked together. Mics are also good to have on hand just in case.

Multiplayer should be something you can do well on by yourself, but still have the option to team up and use teamwork. Could you imagine going into a public match and trying to get 5 twelve year olds to cooperate? It's better to just go lone wolf, you'll probably get more accomplished. You treat multiplayer like it's a competition, when it's really more like a bunch of kids playing street hockey.

good to see people actualy start to see this now =D
hopefully this CoD BS will be over in a few year.

in unreal tournament 2004 my clan had a team of people from 10 till 14 year. and hell yea they cooperate.

thats the problem whit CoD and almost any multiplayer FPS from atleast the last 6 year.
the games get to easy so that people do not have to work together. if you all go your own way it works just as good.
the games are realy simple compared to older FPS games. where in 2004 it was still hard to become pro in a FPS game. today you are pro after just 2 weeks playing.
why is it that people become pro so easy now? well not because people got beter at FPS games. instead i would say average skill level is lower then befor.
no the main reason is simply that the games of today help the players to much. wich makes the actual gameplay way to easy.

now to name a best multiplayer game of last year... it's easy.
portal 2. it doesn't take long but it's realy ALOT of fun when you like to think while your gaming and have fun whit a friend who likes it aswell.

for the more action multiplayer game. i guess it is assassins creed or saints row.
but there are loads that i didn't play in multiplayer mode so i dunno about all the others.

( BF:3 - almost the same as CoD only a bit beter.
i'm just waiting for a new fast FPS game where cover is for amateurs. it's been ages when the last good 1 came out.)

my all time favorite multiplayer game is kuri kuri mix. too bad its so underated and nobody knows it :/ honestly that game is awsome. and it was MEANT for 2 players. unless you have really good cordination its pretty imposibble to beat alone.

and this game will make you want to scream at your friends too XP

I used to be in love with the CoD games, but when I got BF3, I've got to say, it's one of the best multiplayer games out there. In MW3 and all the other iterations, one person can easily carry the entire team and kill everyone. In BF3, you need teamwork to win as kills aren't the goal of the game- unless you are playing Team Deathmatch/Squad Deathmatch.

Of course, some other nice MP games are Minecraft, Terraria, and yes, believe it or not, World of Warcraft, even if it takes a ton of dedication to get into the late-game content.

Of course is mulitplayer forever, off- and online!
But I really like multiplayer games like NSMBW and SSBB.

Good multiplayer should try to focus on teamwork

That's totally not true.
If you play multiplayer is your goal:
win from the other players!
I don't say i don't like teamwork on multiplayer,
but your goal is winning, isn't it?

agreed'd, not the best but a **** site better than COD where they have tiny little mapos and with a single perk you can run around and stab the entire enemy team in the back, i've played BF-3 matches that took forever cause we were in a stalemate trying to outflank and out power each other. and the vehicles are even better most of the time requiring more than one person to operate effectively

Well definitely not World of Warcraft for a good multiplayer; It's old, and you keep getting killed by those apocholyptic nerd high levels who play it all day.
