I personally believe that Armor Points should be a sort of incentive for helping make the site better. It seems too many users do almost nothing but comment "Good game" or "this game sucks" to get AP.
Honestly, I think that if anything, AP should distinguish the more helpful users on the site, instead of those who exploit it for bragging rights.
Commenting on games doesn't really help anyone, unless the comments are productive, but helpful comments may earn merits anyway. Seems to me earning AP for comments and the like only encourages meaningless clutter of the comments section.
In addition, I've seen many comments that are not only meaningless, but downright condescending. I myself am I developer, and I am disgusted at the lack of consideration for the amount of work put into making games.
1) users can say what try like so long as it is not vulgar or spam. If try hate a game then they hate it. Would you rather honest feedback or fake feedback? The Internet is full of morons and we can't waste our time on them.
2) No changes will be made to AG2 now, check the AG3 section on AP earning. They're already removing points for profile commenting. We will have a Reputation system that will distinguish more helpful users so check it out.
3) Whats so bad about a short sentence that praises? Not everyone has the time to write chunks, and so long as it isn't spam it's just a comment.
Not much. It is just slightly annoying that many users simply write "GG" or "cool". Ir isn't much of a feedback. Perhaps users should say what they liked or disliked about the game then it would make it much more satisfying.

At least they could write a simple sentance like i do when i have very little time.

A lot of it is spam. There is already a rule where you are not alowed to write less the 7 words. Obviously, you can let a couple off but the majority are writing 1 word anwsers and the response seems very dimeaning.

The forums distinguish. If you have a good reputation here, you are obviously a helpful, or at least, less annoying, user.
In addition, I've seen many comments that are not only meaningless, but downright condescending.
Spam gets deleted, so a short, stupid reply gets deleted when a mod gets to it. And so does comments that are nothing but swearing out the developer. Why? Because that has nothing to do with the gaming experience. If they had something to share, they should have done so without being hateful, as is our policy.
As Nicho said, there won't be AP for most interaction between users after the launch of AGv3. Instead there will be a reputation... thing, which might have the wanted effect. Go check that out in the other forum section.
