Just wondering will there be multiplayer category somtimes? I'm often playing with my cousin and it would be really helpful to have all multiplayer games in one place.
Perhaps, but until that happens, you could go look at that stickied thread in the flash game section, where all the multiplayer games are collected in one place.
Did you miss out on the thread with bold title, a red push pin next to it, at the top of the topic listing saying List of Online Multiplayer Games? Because that is as - local as it gets.

In that case, I don't have a real good answer, besides going through every game to find out which have local multiplayer and then save them as book marks for yourself. The staff won't change anything on the site, and I can't remember if multiplayer will be a valid category in AGv3, so it is probably the safest bet on a solution. If nothing, if you find them all, we might be able to make another sticky with local multiplayer handling so others in your situation can gain a bit as well.
I'm fairly certain that multiplayer was a tag in the beta. They took down the tags though, so I can't really confirm that...
