I think this site should make it so that the person who made a comment will be able to erase it. Also, I can't erase comments on my profile. Help.

Why should you be able to? You will be able to edit posts in AG3, but to completely erase comments is to possibly hide evidence of flaming which will hamper the discipline process.

You click the trash can next to the comment you don't want. Then you wait.

Anyone will be able to "delete" evidence of flaming by editing the posts. You just have to replace the flaming with something innocent, like an on-topic response. Even an off-topic edit will be seen as spam rather than flaming, which won't keep you off the dirty-look list, but you'll get off easier than if you were proven guilty of flaming.

No, I think when you edit in AG3, your original post will still be shown.

My best guess is, they will probably use the same system as used in GetSat... there, the original message / post is overwritten, but a copy is still kept in a history of the thread along with a short text as to 'why' it is edited and by 'who', -user or -admin. =)

That would be a good way to protect the discipline system since evidence will then be indestructible.

Also, you can only delete comments on your own profile (unless you are a mod or admin), which I agree with. However, I think mods and admins should be able to prevent you from deleting comments on your own profile if they find you to be abusing this power or if there is something bad on your profile that must be kept for evidence.

I don't even think there should be an ability to edit your posts. I know that there would be a copy of the original somewhere on the internet but it would be hard to find unless Armor Games keeps meticulous records. I think that once you say something it should be final.

No. You can just edit your profile and save it. Then, it'll update.

killersup10 thinks that it would be nice to be able to erase killesup10's comment at times

What if the original posts (that were edited) were shown in both versions under the thread where only moderators and above can see it? It will also be invisable to users so they won't know that the record was kept.

Erasing comments on your profile doesn't seem to work.

You need to click the trash can. It then takes a few hours to completely remove the comment made. You just need to wait.

a delete your comment button would be nice this would passably solve
a miss spell wrong etc. be four got on the comment page in word but of course people would abuse this
so the site would allow you to delete your comment but you could not
submit a new comment then maybe then this would be ok. on your profile lake having control over your personal information you could delete all comments from your profile like an administrator you moderator colud on the rest of the site
