Last summer my brother lent me all seasons of The Wire. I ended up watching 3-6 episodes in a row every time I started watching. It has become my favourite show ever and I already feel like watching it again. I know it's been long since the show ended but anyone who has watched it surely hasn't forgotten about it.
So, what are your thoughts of the show? Who is your favourite character? Which quote, scene or episode do you remember the best? Which season do you like the most?
I am a big fan of the Wire. In my opinion its one of the best cop shows ever. Omar Little is my favorite character. Best quote is definetely: Omar: It ain't what you takin', it's who you takin' from, ya feel me? How you expect to run with the wolves come night when you spend all day sparring with the puppies?
The best thing about it is that each season is different.
Agreed. The fact that each season of The Wire focuses on a different aspect of the city of Baltimore is amazing. Its one of the most intelligent and complex dramas.
Season 4 was a true masterpiece.
Have you watched Homicide: Life on the Street? Its from the creator of The Wire, David Simon. In my opinion its an other really good show.
I've been meaning to watch more of David Simon's work. There was some talk about Homicide: Life on the Streets on the bonus features of the DVDs. I'll definitely check it out some time.
