i think that the wii u you might not sucseed. so far i haven't seen any ground breaking games, and there is a lot of confusion detailing its capabilities. as for the ps4 and xbox 720 only when i get more information on them could i make a decision
Well Wii U's capabilities are still kept secret and games will be announced at E3 so I think there's nothing bad about it. We don't know anything about XBOX and PS4. Sony said they plan PS4 on 2014 so it's little bit too early to talk about it. Only thing we can do is judge them based on 7th gen which would be pointless but big amount of people does it.
ditto farrowking37 the wii u wont be going anywhere, and with the the abillites it has now it will just be like ps3 move that can connect to an ipad. not bad butnot enough to be a next gen system. Here are some games that will definatly come out asap on relese of the Wii U or later.(some names are made up.)
The PC master race of gamers will not care about this.
Xbox 720 will need to get one or two really big franchises for it, like Gears of War, and Halo 3 for the 360. However, 720 will have Halo 5 and Halo 6 which are supposed to come out in the future. Same thing about franchises for the PS4.
Wii is planning to give us a new console. The only problem is they are JUST catching up to 3+ year old Xbox and PS3. That is not giving us something new, that is just giving us same console, only with a different name.
I Honestly think there isn't much to offer us anymore. Better visuals and flawless framerate is about it. Storyline/Gameplay is up to the ones who make the games for us. I'm very satisfied with the game visuals right now and how they run most of the time, But of course it would be AMAZING to finally, for the first time, to see a tree or piece of grass that doesn't look like polygons. Maybe even see games like Metal Gear Solid 1 remastered and revisualized for the new system (huge boner).
The biggest Issue I would have with new consoles is their price. 100% they will worth over $1000 at first, eventually following down to 500-400 after a year (which is when I'll buy mine).

I don't think anything is going beyond $500. Any more is just obscene.
I am excited for the Wii U and will get Darksiders 2 on that system, to see how it works and all with a new 3rd-party game.
Now, with the next console generation looming over our heads, we have to remember one thing, game quality at the beginning of a generation generally sucks. The PlayStation 2 era ended with Shadow of the Colossus, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, and the PlayStation 3 era started with... what? Resistance? A generic shooter? Even with the 360 you only had Call of Duty 2 until Dead Rising and Oblivion came out. I mean, Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Portal 2, Skyward Sword, and Skyrim will always be remembered as some of the greatest games to rock the waning years of a console generation, and all that's ahead are titles that want to do good things, but trip over their own tech in the process.
Not to be cynical, just reminding you all not to be too excited to jump to the next generation so quickly.
I like nintendo games. Some mario games, most zelda games, and pokemon games. If the wii didnt have those 3 series's, i wouldnt have a wii. The same will happen when i get a wii u. The wii was cool how it had motion controls, but then the playstation got that, and now its back on the bottom again. And most wii games switched to a sideways controled scheme so that you dont even use motion controls. I dont think the wii u will be a very big hit.

like i said they're probly gonna put new motion stuff and other cool games on E3.
Im still hoping for a console with keyboard and mouse
x360 has a cabel to connect a mouse add keyboard to the console. and a small click on keyboard for on the controller. (google: x360 keyboard) ps3 has a special wireless keyboard for the console. (no mouse, you can use any mouse tho. but not for gaming) and a small click on keyboard for on the controller. (google: ps3 keyboard)
however there is not 1 game on the consoles suporting these devices (cabel) the only use for it will be chating online.
Simply adding more to the name shouldn't be something to ridicule. If Microsoft is whole going to continue with their venture into the Kinect system for the new console it should be included free of charge with every Xbox 720 that is sold. Otherwise I may for the first time lean towards waiting to get the next gen console for the release of the PS4
