how much does it cost to make a website like this vs profit. and also how much would it cost to buy Armor games(just hypotheticalunless under $1000...)
To make a basic website can be free. To design your own like armorgames can cost around $100 - $5000. If you were to buy armorgames, my personal estimate is around $1,000,000. That is if the staff are willing to sell it to anyone. They aren't going to sell it to you - if that's why you're asking this question in the first place.
"Don't buy AG. It is fine as it is, and while you might make money, due to the lack of the original staff team, the games would most likely be worse, because you don't have time to review all the games yourself, nor would you be objective, so you will most likely let in games of an inferior quality to the current selection."
Let's see: Domain cost, hosting costs, sponsor money, payment for the staff, equipment, benefits. VS. Money from advertisements.
jeez u guys take things to Sirius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Huh. You would know! If only you were here before I requested the 'AG is overrated' thread to be locked!
Heh, take some information technology classes at you're school. Judging by your use of words. I can assume you are not ready to make a website as advanced as Armor Games. =\\
Let's just assume that making such a website costs a fraction of what it would actually cost to buy the entire formula after a few years... it's safe to say that any 'ninkenpoop' can start/create a website, either for free or with paid help from a web agency, but getting that new train on it's tracks and start making the miles on the thing is the real challenge/task and ultimately the very reason for a website to become valuable.
So, looking at how I think this website was made, how long it has been running since day 1 and what the possible near future for ArmorGames beholds, I say this website is probably way too expensive for any person with a 'normal' income to buy... and I'm thinking of a number with 5-6 zero's here!
Anyway you look at it... ArmorGames did a great job so far and probably will continue to do so in the future! =)
