there 5 ways to get armor points. the easier ones are worth less but simple to get. the easiest way to get armor points are posting in a forum since this is so easy they are only worth 1 armor point the next easiest are rating games, and commenting on games this is also very easy but they are worth 2 armor points the next one is hard because you have to go through all this stuff to submit a game because this process is long i think thats why it is worth 20 armor points finally there are earning merits the only way to get these are to construct original and thoughtful comments in the games section the only way to actually get one is that a moderator or administrator gives you one because those are hard to get they are worth 25 armor points

tips
for merits don't make them to long and don't bug moderators and administrators to give them to you if you do they probably wont give them to you even if you deserve it

this is an opinion but i think it would be annoying if you rated every game and posted multiple comments just to get armor points

since posting in forums is an easy way to get armor points it is also the one that worth's the least don't post on forums 100 times just to get armor points

remember armor points aren't the point for going on armor games the point is to have fun while earning them don't go crazy about them

thank you for reading this and have fun on armor games now that you know how to get armor points

I find rating a game with the click of a mouse easier than coming up with something worthy of being said in a thread.

Wut? So you have to post a thoughtful and original comment. . . without making it too long. . . huh.

I think it's a little unneccessary to devote a complete thread on a topic that's known to every user of ArmorGames within a matter of weeks since his/her membership... besides, isn't this already stickied as a thread in this forum?! =/

And in a non-opinion version too.
But who reads the stickies anyway, they are obviously as useless as oxygen or medical attention or other such stuff we obviously do not need.

Anyway, while trying my best not to sound like a malicious smart-butt here:
Please do not use bold like that. It stands out like a sore thumb, and makes it somewhat hard to write, at least with a crushing headache smacked in your face.
If anything, then use the bold as a form of title, and then use italics to point out the important parts of the text.

earning merits the only way to get these are to construct original and thoughtful comments in the games section the only way to actually get one is that a moderator or administrator gives you one because those are hard to get they are worth 25 armor points

Merits can be given as a reward for a game review, but is also given as rewards for winning the poetry contests in the AMW. It's still mods handing them out, but saying that they can only be given in the game section is wrong.
It also isn't particularly hard to get merits, if you think it is, you are doing it wrong.

for merits don't make them to long

I think what you were looking for here was "Don't make them boring". Comments that get merited tend to be long. But also amusing to read, which is why the being-long part doesn't matter.

this is an opinion but i think it would be annoying if you rated every game and posted multiple comments just to get armor points

This is a fact: Any activity for the sole purpose of gaining points is considered against the rules. It is annoying, yes, but it will also get you banned.

since posting in forums is an easy way to get armor points it is also the one that worth's the least don't post on forums 100 times just to get armor points

As has already been pointed out, getting points from posts is not easy. Rating is easier, making stupid comments is by far easier...
Mods are more likely to see crap posts and delete them than seeing a crap comment and deleting it.

Isn't that called "Not being active"?

Either way, look, stickies. And the "help" page.
And pointing out you get AP for commenting on profiles as well.

Following invalid's un-agreemant with the OP, i have a few things he missed:

earning merits the only way to get these are to construct original and thoughtful comments in the games section

You can also earn merits by winning various competitions such as the poem writing conversation in the Art, Music, and Writing forum.

This isn't really needed for multiple reasons such as what MrDayCee said, and the fact that everyone's AP is going to get reset anyways in AGv3 which isn't very far away from the launch. Yet, thank you for helping.

P.S. By 'a few' i mean 1. Then a paragraph at the end.

@Cenere

Thank you for ninja'ing me. You said the same thing as me, but more. *Cries* Now my post looks pointless.

I have also just realized (again) that you're not a mod. *Cries even more*.

We are not mean. We are just blunt, and in my case, kinda tired of people that doesn't bother reading the threads that will help them. sure, you might be new, you might not know, but that is why you ought to read the guide and the stickies.
You know, all magical information and all.

@Lucas:

Well, as you're making a thread completely about AP, say i'm a newbie. I am going to ask questions to you about AP that you havn't answered in your OP.

What is AP used for?

Because it was there, I wouldn't know what it was about if I didn't read it, and you needed some corrections, which was why I replied to this thread.
It's like asking why I would have tasted a certain dish if I didn't like it. I would have to have tasted it to know.
