besides, isn't this already stickied as a thread in this forum?! =/
And in a non-opinion version too.
But who reads the stickies anyway, they are obviously as useless as oxygen or medical attention or other such stuff we obviously do not need.
Anyway, while trying my best not to sound like a malicious smart-butt here:
Please do not use bold like that. It stands out like a sore thumb, and makes it somewhat hard to write, at least with a crushing headache smacked in your face.
If anything, then use the bold as a form of title, and then use italics to point out the important parts of the text.
earning merits the only way to get these are to construct original and thoughtful comments in the games section the only way to actually get one is that a moderator or administrator gives you one because those are hard to get they are worth 25 armor points
Merits can be given as a reward for a game review, but is also given as rewards for winning the poetry contests in the AMW. It's still mods handing them out, but saying that they can only be given in the game section is wrong.
It also isn't particularly hard to get merits, if you think it is, you are doing it wrong.
for merits don't make them to long
I think what you were looking for here was "Don't make them boring". Comments that get merited tend to be long. But also amusing to read, which is why the being-long part doesn't matter.
this is an opinion but i think it would be annoying if you rated every game and posted multiple comments just to get armor points
This is a fact: Any activity for the sole purpose of gaining points is considered against the rules. It is annoying, yes, but it will also get you banned.
since posting in forums is an easy way to get armor points it is also the one that worth's the least don't post on forums 100 times just to get armor points
As has already been pointed out, getting points from posts is not easy. Rating is easier, making stupid comments is by far easier...
Mods are more likely to see crap posts and delete them than seeing a crap comment and deleting it.
Some of us need to learn how not to earn AP.
Isn't that called "Not being active"?
Either way, look, stickies. And the "help" page.
And pointing out you get AP for commenting on profiles as well.
