If you report them, the mods will first warn them about the behaviour, and if they continue (that is, disregarding the warning), they will be banned for a few days, and their spam will most likely be hunted down and ki- I mean, deleted. If they then continue past that, if they are lucky, they will get another warning, or they will face another, longer ban. If, by any chance, they are idiots and continue even past that, the mods will most likely ban them for as long as possible and request a permaban of their account.
I don't know what admins would do, but I will assume it will look like that, sans the "request for permaban" part.
So basically, they will be told to stop, if they don't, they will be put in time out, then grounded, then all their stuff will be taken away and they won't get dinner. Except, you know, it probably would count as being kicked out of the house, but, well...
Ahm... dragasto... in my book, users that spam my profile can't be considered 'friends' at all, even if the term friend is different from real life of course!
And you could always (after reporting them) simply ignore their comments... words may be as sharp as knives sometimes, but in the end their are only... 'words'! =)
