Ask me anything; for instance, did you know that hindus believe in one supreme being and that all the other gods are is descendants? So technically hindus believe in only one god, but worship multiple aspects of him!

If these other gods are this supreme god's descendants then that would make these other gods separate entities, not just aspects of a single being.

Well there not really gods, they are more like representations of him. Different aspects of him. That god goes by many names according to what school of thought one follows. For example one aspect of him is justice, so someone might worship that aspect. Another might worship the rain, or the sun, or the universe. These different aspects are called Devas, which only roughly translate to gods.

So... your god has multiple personality disorder, or are there really multiple gods?

But really, no offense intended, it sounds like you worship different personalities of a single god.

Lol none taken. That's the beauty of it. All hindus can follow different schools of thought worship whichever aspect or &quotersonality" he or she wishes. This way there is no real conflict because, in the end we all worship the same Deity.

This wouldn't make these other gods descendants of a single supreme god. This also bring up issues that if all these separate gods is actually a single god of how much each one contradicts the other in terms of the teachings. For example some believe in an active god while others believe god just put the universe into motion and left everything be. These two ideas are in direct conflict with one another and could not possible be speaking of the same being. This also ignores the issue of pantheism found in many religions.

I'm sorry but the concept that it's all the same god just doesn't hold up.

So basically this is what it is, I should've said this originally. The supreme being is not what a humanoid figure. It is everything. THE everything. One of its names is Brahmin.
the one supreme, universal Spirit that is the origin and support of the phenomenal universe.[1] Brahman is sometimes referred to as the Absolute or Godhead[2] which is the Divine Ground[3] of all being. Brahman is conceived as personal ("with qualities&quot, impersonal ("without qualities&quot and/or supreme depending on the philosophical school.

Explain the caste system of hindu dhirem.
What logic is behind in dividing humanity in four classes?

I think it's extremely unfair, I am what is part of the "upper-caste" but I still disagree with the idea of it being there. But in many families, such as mine, the caste system does not matter.

The logic is that someone long ago decided that he was superior to someone else, and he decided to extend that privilege to his entire family.

That would seem to rule this being out as being other gods.

It is everything. THE everything.

Pretty sure we already have a name for that, it's reality. Something many gods don't fit.

One of its names is Brahmin.

Does this god have any other names I can look up?

actually, if I remember right, that name could actually be used for both, but the one it means depends on the context of the conversation.
