I want to know because there is the Armor Games Championship in the Forum Games and you need a screenshot to participate.

Use a program like Sniping Tool (It's free) or Press PrntScrn on your keyboard. Use Paint to crop whatever you want out.

Or if you're on a Mac, Command-Shift-4.

Jing is great. It captures whatever part of the screen you want, and also uploads it if you want to its site. It's the all in one package.

Well, why don't you just use something really simply like PowerPoint because most people already have it. You can capture a whole page or a certain section of it.

Hit PrtScr. Then open paint, hit Ctrl-V, VOILA! You have successfully created a screenshot

On my keyboard, it says "Prtscn." Is that the same as "Prtscr?"

Wait. How do you post a screenshot?

Save screenshot, upload to image hosting site, take direct link, post in img-code.

Congratulations.
Click ctrl+ to increase screen size.
Now, tab PrtSc. Go to paint. Click ctrl v.
Nothing more to it, only press once, only press that one button, don't hold it in.
If all other fails, get a screen cap programme and never touch that button again.

Guide to AG?
Yes, image hosting site. A place where you can upload your pictures, so you can post them elsewhere. Usually recommended are photobucket and imageshack, but any place where you can upload your picture and get a direct link should do fine. You could probably host it yourself if you had a website and stuff, all it matters is that you upload the image to the interwebs so you can get a link to it to post here.

A picture of your computer screen.

Warning: using print screen resolves in poor quality image. So, your best option would be to use snipping tool or download a screenshot extension off of Chrome.
